laser beam comparison.
350 meter distance.

Hercules 650 vs Krypton 1W model.

Now here's not really a comparison shot, but just a 445nm laser M140.

Next up is just a simple Mit$u 300mW diode doing 500mW vs 500mW diode doing 1W. Both use same lens.

Dot, or better said line comparison ^^

Thanks for watching :)

Great comparisons. Interesting how the 500 mW mits has a larger "bar" than the 300 mW, as I thought they had roughly the same beam profile...?

Also, do you know the exact output of the 650 Hercules? It seems similar in power to the Krypton "1W";) +1

Wonderful beam shots especially with the close ups showing a good comparison at distance :gj:

I like the dot best on the Herc even though they are pretty darn close :D

Thank you all for the comments :)

After i shot the photo's, the whole tree line went on fire :D and all birds that passed the beam were falling down.

And i almost crossed the beams!
Never cross the beams.

hello
i'm familiar with the m140 diode and the new so called big boy and its drivers.
but which visible red and green are the best?
i assume the m140 and the other are the most powerful but i'm not an expert.
maybe the color makes a difference?
i dont know what wattage and drivers to choose for the red and green diodes.
also I've noticed everyone seems to put these diodes in huge laser pointers.
does anyone out there put them in anything else? i would like to see
thanks

The info your asking for can easily be found on the forum stickies and throughout the forum in lots of different places. If you cant find the answers, then start a thread with your questions.
Thanks, Ty.

And smeer! Nice pics there! really enjoyin these comparisons. Really lets people ^ know what powers look like in different colors.

do the dots get biggest like farther away they are?

Yes, Specially with High powered green handheld lasers. (wich are the most common around) (single mode laser)

*Multimode lasers (like the red and blue ones you see, are even worse couse they are multimode*

That's where one of these come in handy:
