Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov
Everyone SHOULD keep in mind that Aixiz is not OUT of them - simply out of stock at the moment ! With Kenom's estimate of 3 weeks prior to arrival back in stock - everyone should keep in mind that the barrels are not even CLOSE to being finished yet
They JUST started turning, and judging from the manufacturer's apparent self-justified lack of priority with the last barrel project, they will take a while to finish up even the "small" number of barrels they have to turn for Kenom. THEN there is the matter of Q/C all the barrels to make certain they all screw together, and that all the dimensions are correct. After that, they have to be sent off to the anodizing folks. THAT part will take about two weeks (maybe) start to finish, once you figure in all the shipping times, etc. THEN Kenom has to sort and package all of them - with all the little bits and pieces needed to assemble them, and package them all up for shipment out to each purchaser. By the time all that "stuff" is done, we WILL be at the end of August. By that time (4 weeks, right ?) Aixiz should have pulled their collective heads out of their asses, and have shipped the lenses to Kenom. Does anyone see where I am going with all of this yet ? Aixiz does NOT put anyone on a list of priorities other than themselves in ANY case - and they damned sure have not developed the sense of urgency that other folks have when it comes right down to it - even keeping all of that fully in the front of your mind,
the lenses will most likely be in Kenom's hands WELL before the barrels are finished, and ready to be sent out. Everyone really should take a deep breath - and NOT saying anything bad about Kenom in the process - but there is no way in hell these barrels - or any other barrels he intends on making in the future will EVER be sent out on time, or even remotely NEAR the time frame that is estimated for delivery, due to the many external sources that he HAS to deal with - and their apparent lack of concern for anyone other than themselves. That really should have been apparent when Kenom found 5 or so barrels that were mis-tooled in the first batch of the Kryton I's, and the jackasses told him he had to wait until this batch was ready to spin up before they fixed their monumental screw up. To reiterate to the "not-as-bright-as-they-should-be" folks involved as the eventual owners of these barrels - 99% of this is out of Kenom's control, and it most certainly is NOT his fault that we will not see the barrels until AT LEAST early/mid September. I hope I have made my point clear - but if I haven't, then you surely DO reside firmly within that, "not-so..." grouping of people.
