Good point about the star trek laser, that bugged me as well.

Also what kind of a moron leaves battery right in the laser for travel?

If more evidence is needed that it's staged, just look at the clothes he packed. No socks or underwear, but plenty of shorts and shirts... does he have a video explaining that:thinking:
 





I mean, I wouldn't be bugged if he took 3 seconds to say, "Remember, whenever using any high power lasers, wear safety glasses."
 
Haha he always shows up when someone bad mouths him, but never to talk about laser safety, and actually why his videos tick us off.

Dude! Stress laser safety as much as how cool your imaginary 2W laser burner is and you'll be decent.

Well.. they are not that different from each other kroger:

-Both have terrible voice.

-Both have a vagina.

-Neither of them can speak in a coherent manner.

-Both like to play with under-age boys.

-Both suffer from mental retardation.

-Both don't know how to handle lasers, but are great at handling other rod shaped objects.

Your comment is the perfect example of the mentality and maturity of so-called "laser enthusiasts" on this forum. Way to keep the reputation going!
 
People here give you a lot of crap all the time, and for understandable reasons such as
-teaching youtubers that it's fine to hook up a laser diode directly to the battery
-failure to respect and mention laser safety (most of the times)

I for one thank you for providing a steady influx of newbies to this forum.:beer:
Last summer, I was one of those newbs.;)

I just hope they do as I did and find this forum, before they cook a diode,
or scar their retina, following one of your "tutorials".

Every single one of my laser project videos has a warning about lasers somewhere. If it was not in the original video, it is in the description or annotations in the video.
