It's been a loooooong while since i've been on lpf admittedly, though randomly browsing through kickstarter made me wonder what ya'll would think of this little gimmick. Not to sure how they pulled it off with using actual lasers, (especially with DPSS) though my personal opinion is led fiber optic or whatever....
Thought this may or may not interest some of you. Oh, and 127$ for a pair is ridiculous unless they sound as good as sennheisers or klipsh.

-Cheers!

I'll pass. I'm not a fan of in ear headphones at all. The green or blue are most likely not DPSS. In a way, I doubt they even use laser diodes. LEDs would be cheaper, last longer in a sense that they won't break if dropped, and consume less power. They are probably using SMLEDs if they are using LEDs.

I'll stick with my over ear Senns. They might be a pain to carry but they sound great and are comfy.

I'm going to guess it will be some crappy, dim junk similar to crappy EL wire. Yet people are just emptying their wallets...probably because it has the word "laser" in it.

Dang it you beat me to it! ;)

ah yes, it's called el wire! I had it on the tip of my tongue, but i'm sure that's how it's illuminated. or with smd's, though the "remote features" pic has a rendition of the innards including "laser diode" and so on. It seems like they are really claiming it to be illuminated via lasers than rather using the word as a title for their product....

Still love my Sony V6 after 25 years or so of use;)

Gotta have over ears myself. More comfortable.

Ha, I'll just stick some cheapo diodes off ebay in my sennheisers XD
