Just somethang to look at.

It's from a series James May did on his own. "James May's Big Ideas", I think. That episode also looked inside a fussion reactor and you could actually see the neutrons being produced inside a magnetic toroid. Really cool stuff.

You could probably get an old satellite dish and line it with mirrors for a similar project. I just might have to try that some day.

HA! ya i know Albert, but i suppose after the engraving was done.. they got board and need to play.

but HOW THE HECK are they making the notes lol, not only that, but it's like if multiple parts of the engraver were used at once for each tone!!!

You know im not two sure, i thank it would be the way they turn it on/off and the the speed of the laser track. it's just a guess.

Good point Tj,
I'd say that the oil and cole ind's would not like it as it would cut into there $$$ pockets.

I think that reason why it's not in use...is because the machine would have to be huge to create a decent amount of power....hourse power that is.:) Plus haven't you heard of a thing called night time?

Might be good as an Aid to an electric commuter car set up. And if all goes wrong.. just make a R.C. modal 'a small one the size of a cell phone' for a test, incased of coarse to prevent heat loss and cooling where needed?

The paper plane is hard to believe but the chicken one was down right hilarious!
