Re: JETLASERS GB #3 it now on!!!

Would love to put myself down for one of the 500mW 405s, but I don't have any money ATM... I should have some more around the new year. Is it possible to put myself down for one now, or will that be too late?

Also, I don't need the glasses or charger for it. Have both already, and you can always use them for someone else. I don't need a discount for that either, as it just saves me having to junk the charger and storing the glasses. ;)

No problem. We will put down a 405 for you.
I don't have any money ATM, either...;) Thanks for saving the extras for others!

Surely there are 532nms and just let me know or PM Hak if you are interested in the PL-C 532nm. Thanks. :)

I have been confused with the jetlasers website because prices and power levels are not stated on all models, which makes the decision difficult. I don't know what I might be interested in because I have no clue what a PL-C is! I do like the titanium range, but I am having a hard time identifying which models are available with what power levels. Thanks!

Hope you´re able to read ;)

Re: JETLASERS GB #3 it now on!!!

Question for Gray or Hakzaw1,

So the 532nm Ti pens look amazing. I see a 250 mW listed above for $280. Might have to jump on that.

I note that a few months earlier Gray stated that there were some flaws in the design or some such that were to be fixed or improved in the titanium green pens (would you say they are pens? Not too sure about that but they look great and portable enough in any case)

Just wondering if the current Ti offerings are part of a second run of optimized or improved product or if they are from the original batch. Even if original I'm sure they are up to the high Jetlasers quality standard. Just curious about the intended improvements if any.

Thanks

I have been told by Gray that the Ti-Pens do have a new design and that the 532nm use a single rechargeable aaa battery.

Re: JETLASERS GB #3 it now on!!!

Thanks Udanis,

A single aaa? That's interesting. Do you know if the BU backup battery extended case is still an option? I'd think one would be swapping in a fresh cell pretty quickly running on 1 aaa. Might as well go aaa x 2 though if the case is that long anyway I would think (BU model).

I wonder why not the original CR123A for power supply though. ??

Original CR123A? They are real pens, so there is only the AA or AAA option ;)
BTW, the GLP (runnin on a CR2, similar diameter) is no real pen for me.

Anyway, I´m also interested in the runtime on 1xAA.

BTW, Grey, I had an 980nm from Dinodirect on order through their 50% sale (along with 5x 50mW reds) and guess what I got today instead of them... 2x totally new AAA batteries, that´s all

Re: JETLASERS GB #3 it now on!!!

Hey DJNY,

Hasn't the Ti Lite A always used a CR123A or 16340 for power supply? I'm just going from the JetLasers website listing for that model:

Jetlasers Green Laser Pointer,650nm,Jetlasers-C Series, Jetlasers.org

and also aXit's review:

http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/jetlasers-50mw-ti-lite-54601.html

both have the CR123A or 16340 as the batteries listed for this model laser.

Agree about the GLP models that run CR2 batteries. Still pocket sized but not quite truly pen like I think.

Re: JETLASERS GB #3 it now on!!!

Aha! Thanks DJNY that does indeed look like an AAA power supply pen.

Re: JETLASERS GB #3 it now on!!!

Here is the email from Gray:
Hey man, the design is changed a bit and I will attach you a few pics later.
More importantly, for 532nm ti pen, a single rechargable 3.7v AAA battery is to be used for sufficient input current, while for 405nm or 650nm, two AAA non-rechargable batteries are okay, so there's a back-up battery tube, removable......

Re: JETLASERS GB #3 it now on!!!

Just kiding about the threadjackers---
I dont think Lady Regina is anyway close to completing her collection.

No I'm not. Next will be 671m DPSS and If we can convince CNI, the next will be 515nm DPSS. After that I will go to a RGB Laser Projector, and then a 1.2W Polaris from Laserglow if they can deliver good divergence and nice beam profle.
After that I think I will hunt the labbys with estrange colors like 480nm, 491nm, 500nm and so on. :)
