this is box #1 only- the PL-Es--araik have not been shipped- I will not promise any items from that box will be delivered before the fouth- and nothing delivered that day-- sorry guys- if I hear anything to the contrary it will be here.
Tom S and james have prollythe only chances for 3rd july delivery- only one gets a laser.
Maybe to some in China the 4th is not understood as to its 'importance' laser weekend ( a three day) china had Dragon Boat- monday was Hoilday..For all returns and repairs JETL covers all shipping thru me in some cases - I PP it

Thus JL really wants to have everything as perfect as possible- making returns a rarity.

this is #7 i dont get bothered by the "WAIT" anymore- no good comes from worrying

Thanks for the updates Hak. Hope mine is actually in box one, but it's no big deal if it's not.

I have no plans for the holiday so delivery before the 4th isn't a big issue for me either.

I will be out of town next week anyway, so you can sit on mine if you want. I won't be back in town until the 8th. I will be at my parents house and although my in-laws will be here some of the time watching the house, I'm not counting on them to get my mail.

If you want to wait to send it, that is fine - or if you would like me to PM you with my parents address and send it there, that is fine too - your call.

thnx Tsteele & james-- ATM the EARLIEST I wil see box #1 will be monday erly evening. while the actual deliveries only happen M-F- the stuff moves 24/7= so Monday foe sure- barring any odd Customs issue- so I could get the smaller lasers out but that would still mean 5th of july - nobody deliveries on the fourth.

In my hands that evening.
I may be able to re-ship all but the two PL-Es on Tue.
But USPS is closed for the 4th- so ...
I would not expect anything being in your hands ti later in the week= like Sat.

The one(pro pl-d) I needed to have replaced for James has shipped and will go directly to him - delivered on Friday. DHL express may be very $$$ but CRAZY fast and always safely delivered.

PMs with track # will go out ASAP.
Arrival times are not effected whether we wait patiently or *waits impatiently* .:na:
we should be glad that Gray is not using EMS-- that can take weeks or more and can end badly if opened. so... we wait.

DHL- hits my area at the very end of the shift(often after 5pm)- so the fastest I can check/inspect/meter and take pics, then reship is 24 hrs. I will PM for the re-ship costs(viaPP PERSONAL/pymt owed for service ONLY) when I see that the tracking is posted.


So far JL has NOT asked us to help with the dhl part- that has happened before but we never know til our box is handed over to DHL Express- Gray has to get approval before we will know.

In all fairness to JL we DID send our bank transfer BEFORE it was asked for & we all knew that by doing this we were not to expect that fact to make things happen any faster. IMHO I would much rather wait another week than rush Gray thru the testing and end up with less than the standard high quality we have come to expect. So we are given the same prices JL charges anyone buying 100 pieces- & either free or greatly reduced shipping so the wait is a trade-off.


When you guys fire up your 700/532 ProPL_Es I doubt the 'wait' wil cross your mind.:lasergun:


So far I have asked for no batteries being inside the same box as any lasers- its is just a dumb idea- :tsk:


So I suggest both of you getting the Pl-Es have fully charged 18650s on hand or better still a pair of 26650s-with jumper wires(magnet/alligator clips) any 18650 charge CAN be made to charge 26650's-- I have requested for you both a charger made for these but not sure they are coming. (reminder-- neg end to the front neg to the tail and NEVER force any battery into a laser- you may need to remove the PAPER lable from yr batt. & do not forget to place the included magnet BETWEEN and very centered between the 'flattop' batts. ) the protected cell do not need the magnet- and if JL had made these to work w/o the magnets you prolly would not be able to use 'button tops' so they really had no choice...


No word back yet about the new 2.0 version PL-Es-- :shhh:

I was looking at the JetL website for an answer to the battery question and it has some info on the PL-E V2 Here is what it said.

PL-E V2.0 is available since 5th, July 2012.
1. Optimizing the circuit and lengthening the duty cycle of the existing lithum batteries.
　　▣ For 532/635/650/808/980/1064nm, AC 5V, 8V or 9V are all workable.
One or two 16340/18650/26650s are all applicable.
▣ For 405nm and 445nm, AC 8V or 9V, or two 16340/18650/26650s are all workable
2. Simplifying the code switch. The user can turn the laser beam on immediately by clicking the code button.
3. Disabling the selectable power levels like 50% or 70%, only 100% output is available.
4. Increasing the smoothness of the tailcap threads, making it more fit for the laser body.

Are we going to be receiving this improved version of the PL-E? :takeit:

Oh and has anyone else noticed that the ad for warn laser at the top of the page shows what looks like a PL-E for their 1.5W 445?

Wait.. so if I'm reading this right, the package cleared customs on 6/30.. and now in the near end of July.. they still haven't made it to anyone??

I'm about to order my own PL-E with the GB pricing on Monday and was wondering about the shipping times.. yeesh.

This doesn't make sense though. I order things from China via DHL all the time and they are in my hands within 48 hours of leaving CN...


Has anyone received the 532nm + 10x BE yet? Wondering how good a 300mw looks through one with regards to beam brightness..
