Can you powder coat of paint the magmlight hosts? If so what will that cost? I'm looking for either white or very pale baby blue for a build I'm doing.

Open a thread to ask about it in the 'Experiments and Modifications' forum and I'm sure there are some here that are experienced at powder coat...

Hi there! I am quite new to powerful lasers, and although I've owned a few 10mw s in the past, I don't have much real experience in DIY lasers. I have decided to try and build Styropro's 160mw pen laser build, and I was told to come here and buy the chrome leadlight pen host off of you. Firstly, I would like to request some pricing info if you are still selling this host, and secondly, I was just hoping for some advice on the components for styropro's build. I am planning to order the Osram PL450B diode in copper module from DTR's laser shop, and I was wondering if you could recommend a suitable driver - as I can't seem to find the Microboost Drive online... Also, he did mention that he changed the current to 280mA - so it would have to be pot changeable. Also, what is the switchboard, and does your pen host come with one?

DTR has options for driver included in his modules for an easy build. Just need a host for the module... (just need to know from DTR what battery supply is needed for which ever driver/diode combination you get)

Seeing how I never built a laser before and have chubby fingers was hopeing you could complete all you can and than instruct me on the rest?was looking at a 445 with a black host. At that power large battery/large heatsink is recommended...

Take a look at my Mag kit. There are many options with the kit depending on whether you want a single battery vs a 2 cell build but if you already have the driver (guessing you have an SXD buck driver), then you will need a 2 cell build.
