Introducing the first test results of the RTA (Response Time Accelerator) technology from J.Bauer Electronics

2irqes9.jpg

Test Results

Peak output power: 59mW
Wavelength: 532nm DPSS
Total response time to peak: 6 seconds
────────────────────────────────────────────────

Peak output power: 864mW
Wavelength: 462nm
Total response time to peak: 8 seconds
────────────────────────────────────────────────

Peak output power: 541mW
Wavelength: 445nm
Total response time to peak: 10 seconds
────────────────────────────────────────────────

Peak output power: 1314mW
Wavelength: 445nm
Total response time to peak: 12 seconds
────────────────────────────────────────────────

I should let everyone know that I have not been paid to do this and all video and stats are genuine. I was asked by Jerry to test it as I was a fitting candidate for the tests, thanks for the opportunity, Jerry. This is my first experience with LPMs and has definitely been a good one, overall I think the LPM has a very nice slick design and the RTA technology seems to be doing its job perfectly.

I've noticed that as soon as I put any high powered laser on the sensor, the display rushes to the peak measurement and doesn't slow or freeze until it's got it. Good work, lasersbee. :D

Looks good, Sean. Did you know the output power of these lasers going in? If so, a great new product, Jerry.

Good work EP, nice range of laser power output videos showing varying response times to peak output! :yh:
Looks like a great new LPM model for you, Jerry!

:gj: both of you!

Wow.... Just Wow...
Well done Sean... Very professional looking
review, tests and overall look.. I'm impressed...:gj:
This is the first time I've seen the videos and
Sean's results...
I like the distance you kept between the Lasers
and the Thermopile Sensor.

Damn... Gotta spread some around...

Thanks for the kudos on the new Cheetah RTA
Response Time Accelerator circuit design guys...

You need to remember that it is just a Prototype
LPM to test our new Cheetah RTA Response Time
Accelerator circuit design.

As most of you know... I'm not a fan of bragging
about a new idea until we have something solid
to show.
We've been working on this for over a year now
and it finally performed to our original expectations.

This is fantastic.
Well done EP for the review and Jerry and Co. for a terrific product once again.

Thanks Paul, I only knew the power of the Sanwu pocket (500mW) and the 462nm pocket build (1W). I suspect the reason for the lower reading on the 1W was either the lens used or battery fault.

Thank you Jerry, tried to make it look decent ;) It was a pleasure to test and compile the data. I kept the lasers at roughly 1 foot away at all times and kept the lasers focused to infinity, all as per the instructions.

I'm excited to see what will become of the RTA circuit in your LPMs and I'll be keeping an eye out. :yh:

Also thanks to the others who replied, I appreciate the comments!

Very good videos EP! :D
Congratulation for making it happens, laserbee! :D

I presume that those thermopile are originally a slow response right? (usually ~40s from 0 to 100%)
If those are equipped with faster sensor just like Laserbee II, i'm sure it will be faster even more, no? O_O

Yes.. they are the same 15mm X 15mm Thermopile Sensors
we use on some of our other LaserBee LPM products.

:shhh: Don't tell everyone... Oh yeah...faster.
But we are looking at larger similar Sensors
than on the LaserBee II models...:shhh:

That response time looks awesome. Definitely a great review and videos EP.

If that's the same sensor, I'm definitely interested in how the circuit works differently, but I understand that might be a trade secret.

Yeah... after a year of development we
kinda like to keep that under wraps...;)

I would like to say that unlike a Software
solution that does not work correctly if
removing or moving the Laser beam on
and off the sensor while reaching Max
readings... this Hardware solution is NOT
affected by those same power input changes.

If you are curious, actually there are many source available online on how to accelerate the sensor response time.
Some of which is a free document, but i'm not sure if it's okay to share it here ;)
