Go to mibbit.com and keep trying. You'll have to connect through laser.irc.ecnet.org to work. (I think)

The DNS servers are down...again...just keep trying with laser.irc.ecnet.org and irc.ecnet.org. There's a third serve I can't remember right now though.

Client isn't the problem, it's the server end.
