I opened my Viper 75mw today and while I was looking at it my hand slipped and my finger took off a little piece from the top of the module.  It was a little fat gray disk.  I don't think I'll ever find it again and I have no idea what it was.  All I know is the divergence is awful now.  Also, it used to project a huge dot w/ some crescents if I unscrewed the top, but now it only makes a crappy dot, same as with the top on.  Does anyone know of a person/company that will repair it or let me buy that piece from them?

Re: Lost a tiny piece GAAHHH

that was a little lens. Try to contact CNI and tell them what happened, they should be able to send you a lens (assuming it's one of their pens...)

If not, try using an aixiz lens and see what kind of results you come up with.

Re: Lost a tiny piece GAAHHH

If it helps i have one of the silver disks that the lens sits on.

Re: Lost a tiny piece GAAHHH

@Ben- Probably not, but thanks.

:EDIT:- HOLY CRAP I FOUND IT! Does anyone know how to reattach it? It looks like they used superglue in the first place but I'm not sure.

Re: Lost a tiny piece GAAHHH

Don't use superglue! it will fog up the lens, don't sure what you should use though :P

Gorilla glue works. A couple little blobs should be fine. If you use too much it will spread and foam up and make your life a nightmare.
Clean the lens first and do not touch the surfaces with your fingers.

I through there was only Gorilla customs.

gorilla glue expands 3-4 times be careful. I heard epoxy will work but don't trust me on that.Maybe mighty putty.
