searching for info on good flashlights (MXDL) that make good laser blank (aixiz) holders for my DIY projects. :D
Thanks to Google, Candlepowerforums and the other links that pointed me to this wealth of information.

i got interested after seeing a laserglow ad in popular science.... searched around and found wicked lasers. After LC went to crap I had seen that some people made a new forum and headed over :D

Hi, just found this forum via the instructables site. Have been into laser for about a year and a half,
surprised that I am just now finding this site. I have lasers ranging from 1 to 300 mw. I am looking
forward to talking to other people who are just as obsessed with lasers as I am. The notion originally hit when I bought a large model of the Millenium Falcon and a Darth Vader Tie Fighter.
I thought wouldn't it be cool to build a little circuit to have some LEDs light up, then I had the vision
of suspending both models from the ceiling and have lasers shooting at each other and take a picture of it. I started researching laser diodes and was blown away by the possibilities. I still have not completed the model project as building more elaborate light shows took over my
attention. So that is my short intro- glad to be here and hope to share lots of knowledge and experience with everyone.

I was watching a burning laser video and it said I could get cheap diodes on this forum so I joined to join the the group buy :)

A Google search brought me here.  Glad I found this place. Tons of useful info.

I found it through Google

I purchsed a 5mW bluray on eBay.  When I got it I was VERY disappointed with the spot on the wall.   :'(  It was dimmer than one of the <1mW, red, "toys" that I sell for $2 at gem shows.  I wrote the seller.  His response was "try new batteries".  I own several greenies.  That statement didn't make much sense to me so I decided to do some research before I "got tough" with him.   I am so glad I did.  The discussions in this forum about the blurays and how they react to the surface that they hit kept me from making a complete fool of myself.

I have got to figure out how to take pictures of this thing.  You should see what it does when I shine it at my geodes and the rest of my mineral collection   :o

The seller ended up with positive feedback and I kept what little dignity I have intact. As a result of finding the forum,  I also now have a Milos bluray and a BlueFusion bluray on the way so I can make comparisons and have the most toys when I die so I can "win"!  ;D
