You're all invited and most welcome to my place for Easter.
Traditional Greek Lamb on the Spit and other lovely delicacies will be served.
And later in the night we can laser up the place with our lovely dark skies.
So bring your appetite, your lasers and your safety glasses.

Χριστός Ανέστη everyone.

RB

GSS, we order the lamb (around 20kg) from our butcher and it comes ready to season but without the head.
Even though it's an old Greek tradition, we don't eat the head or the brains.
I know the oldies used to though back in Greece.

We prepare the lamb from the day before, seasoning it with pepper, salt, oregano, lemon, garlic and home made red wine and let it marinate over night.
Place it on the spit rod and sew it up with cooking twine so it all stays together over the fire.
We cook it for around six hours over a low heat.

During that time we also bbq other delicacies underneath the lamb as it cooks, like chicken wings.
That ties us over till the main meal, LOL.

My wife and I have eight children so it's a big get together on all these big occasions.

It was a good day..... :yh:
