GREEN LASER MODULE price $10.50last 7days .(CLOSED

Re: GREEN LASER MODULE at price $10.50. last 7days

I purchased two 40-50mW modules. They arrived fast and with a tracking number. At 3.5 V they are easily over 50mW, but they have around 5mW of 1064 (IR). I clamped one using a three-prong extension clamp and powered it with a lab power supply set at 3.5V. No problems, and the power output is stable over several 24 hr periods. Air cooled. It is pulling around 2-300mA. I taped the other one to an optical chopper and powered it in a similar fashion. The tape must have been a poor heat sink, because after 20 minutes of continuos use, The power dropped to nearly nothing! I almost burned myself on the module when I felt it. I let it cool down and it works fine again.

Two important points:
1. make sure you have enough heat sinking ability if you plan to CW these!
2. The power output is a function of the voltage. I run one at 2.2 V now. Not sure why (booster vs current source?) Anybody?

Re: GREEN LASER MODULE at price $10.50. last 7days

Today my 2. purchase arrives from susie, shipping take 20 days to germany, very hard time for me. ;)

I get:
300-350mw module
5 -10mw modul
20-30mw modul

I dont have LPM till now, but Laserbee is on its way. 8)

What I can measure is the current.

The two lowpower module do quit well, hookd up at 4 volt they take :
5 -10mw modul 220ma
20-30mw modul 390ma
!bevor the driver!
Both after one minute still in tem00.
Both boards are hot, more than one minute is not good at 4Volt i guess.

Then the 300mw modul.
Power supply from 2 lithium 18650 parallel, fully loaded at 4.2 volt.
The modul take 2,1xxma.
Burns cd case in few seconds, light matches immediatly.

I guess its 300mw or more!

And my Laserbee is on the way.  ::)

The driver has a pot, if open complett the module takes 4,5 AMPERE.
But the resistor smokes immydiatly that i turn it down as fast as i can.  :o
After that accident the Laser is still ok, no hopping.
Now i set it to 2,8 AMPERE! and its still ok, getting warm that i use just 20 seconds now, without host for the moment.

The picture shows Beams from a "newwish true" style 200mw pen and the Standtone11 300-350mw Module.
Big differenze and not only the diameter.

Iam happy with this order ThnX Susie

Re: GREEN LASER MODULE at price $10.50. last 7days

I talked Susie into selling me a single order of the 250mW IR filtered complete laser for testing. She told me that she will only sell a minimum order of 6 at a time normally.

I am doing a Group Buy on these builds (250mW's or higher). In the GB thread, you can see details of my review of the laser as well.

I will wait a couple of weeks to see if there is enough people willing to get in on this... If not enough interest is shown, I will just refund the money to those who have paid...

Here's the GB thread:

Thank you .you can buy through http://www.o-like.com/b2b_cpinfo.asp?id=882

any questions ,pls let me know [/quote]

Does your 120~150mW module have IR filter build-in?
Is the power after IR filter?

Honest to say .it is no IR filter . If you prefer IR filtered ,pls kindly refer to 250mW green laser module

Thank you ,any other queries ,pls feel free to contact with me .

Re: GREEN LASER MODULE at price $10.50. last 7days

Hey, does any one know the current for the 40-50mW?

Re: GREEN LASER MODULE at price $10.50. last 7days

Hey Guys.....
                     I just did a power test on Susie's 80mW - 100mW 532nm
modules.... using a Newport 1825-C + 818T Thermopile Head....

Using 2 AA standard batteries 3V.........         60mW (?? not enough current ??)

Using 1 freshly charged CR2 3V............       110mW (stable between 105-107mW)  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Using a freshly charged 18650 3.6V.....       130mW (heats up and power drops)
                                                                               (not recommended)

Again...  her modules are over spec.... (untested with IR filter) 8-)

As far as I know... no one has changed the driver on her 40mW-50mW modules...
You will be the "test bed" and could probably let us know how much current the Pump
Diode needs to put out 50mW of 532nm.... ;)

Re: GREEN LASER MODULE at price $10.50. last 7days

Sure i will be the "test bed" and i could tell you the current of the 50mW pen as it broke :'(
