Green Laser at a Dry Ice Plant [Cool Pics]

Well, I work at a Dry Ice Plant, So I brought my Laser to work and took some pictures during the "Startup" of all the machines (This is when they are real smokey/foggy)

And yes, C02 is a deadly chemical, but feel free to ask questions.

Enjoy!

- First you will see just some pics of the Plant and Starting up, then with the Laser

Whoa... perhaps a few too many photos...

What do you mean by "C02 is a deadly chemical"..
I breathe out CO2 with every breathe...

The only way I can see CO2 as being dangerous (because it is heavier than
air) is when it displaces oxygen in an enclosed area...
Correct me if I'm wrong...

I always wondered how dry ice was made.. thought it was dangerous to hold in the hand like that? Cool pics! The beam looks kinda torquois in one of them.

HA, well the more the better! =D

And yes, you are correct, we breathe it OUT but we arent supposed to breathe it IN, lol.

And high concentrates of C02 Vapor is very deadly, because of the fact you stated, it displaces oxygen (hence why extinguishers use C02).

When starting those machines up, its mostly gas that comes out before they start making dry ice pellets, so you kinda have to take caution.

In one of the pictures with the whole plant filled up with smoke, that was because I turned off the Ventilation system (prohibited), but it makes for some laser fun lol. I just stood on a chair to stay above most of the gas.

You can hold dry ice for a few seconds before it'll burn you. If you keep it moving then you can hold onto it.

I must say, its a pretty cool experience for the first timers. It was exciting working there when you first start. lol.

Yes it is dangerous to hold in hand, the pellets are 109.4 degrees below zero. I did it quickly for the picture, shaking them around like a hot potato then stoppin for quick second to take the shot. lol. I have numerous ice burns, and they arent fun.

Well sell it to an Ice Distributor, "Capitol Carbonics Corporation"

Is CO2 a deadly chemical?

(:p)

Do you ship internationally?

Hahaha, ok done with the jokes...

The more pictures, the better, they're never enough ;)

Do you have a bluray? Shining it through the gas would be awesome.

Niko,
Here's a thread from a while back I made with beamshots through dry ice fog. The only difference is that the fog was in a box instead of a room.

I dont deal with the shipping to customers, we sell our product to just a few ice distribution companies. They are the ones that sell it to people and companies.

btw, by time you got the ice, it be gone haha! lol.

I am getting a bluray built soon, so i will have to bring it and my camera to work again and take more! =D

Sounds like something i would have done  You should have brought a red and br too, ill bet those would look cool!

There is a capitol carbonics not too far from where I live. My friend told me they have dry ice there and I think they sell it pretty cheap too :). Your work looks like the set of a horror movie
