Girlfriend's dad looking for green laser for his gun?

lol my girlfriend's dad isn't a hitman or anything, he just wanted it for the shooting range.:p
Well thats good to know....

My GF's Dad was really mad at me last winter.

He found my full name witten in yellow in the snow by his back door.:yabbem:

What really pi55ed him off was the fact that he recognized her handwriting!!!:crackup:It was 'hard' to 'splain(pun intended):tsk:

The back of your Benjamin almost looks like a Ruger MK II. Why did you mount the laser on top? Is there a plave to mount it up there? I would probably mount it under the barrel so I could use the sights as well. Under the barrel also compensates slightly for gravity.

hakzaw1,

That's freaking hilarious. Not very smart... but freaking hillarious. Next time find a better place for her to practice her "hand-writing". Just be glad you're not going out with Mikeeey's girl. Her dad might shoot the "writing utensi"l out of her hand.

hahahaha

So the only problem as we all know is DX doesn't ship to the US. However I found this knockoff of DX that appears to ship anywhere:

DealToWorld:$41.14 LXGD JG-10 20mW Green Laser Sight with Gun Mount (1CR2) _

only thing that concerns me is it's an EXACTY knockoff of DX, even the reviews are copied. What do you guys think? should I try purchasing it from there? lol..

Edit: well they do use paypal so if anything goes wrong I can always file a claim.

EDIT woops I just accidentally bought it.. I clicked paypal and clicked continue, expecting to see a confirmation screen (to check if it mentioned anything of the laser in the paypal description) but it just purchased it.. well, atleast it was only $40.
lol the name in paypal is a bit concerning. Says "You sent a payment of $41.15 USD to 杨 杰" 杨 杰 translates to Yang Jie.

It was he only 'plave' I could..been using it so long I do not need the sights or the laser either. Had to whittle a piece of wood to make it mount on top too.

Here is my 'gem' almost the holy grail of Benjamins-circa 1930s model 'D'- asaik there is only one or two models older. This one is worth 3-500$ as-is- fixed so it works... even more. Found at a garage sale for 20$. will find the old ad for it and post later...sold for IIRC $5.00--the ammo is just dropped down the barrel- BTW-not for sale

Sorry for the threadjack Mkieey-AixiZ has some sights and lots on the interwebz too

EDIT see this ad($7)-enlarge so you can read it all---I like 'PARENTS SAY OK!' and the part about the 'safety'

In my opinion a green laser on a weapon is not the best idea. The high visibility of the green beam, especially after the first shot in smoke filled air, gives away your position instantly. I use, and much prefer a red laser of <50mw. At 645nm-650nm and from 25mw-50mw the dot is plenty visible to the user, even in the day time outside, without the highly visible beam. In addition most red modules allow for focus adjustment giving better divergence than most green modules which are almost all fixed focus. Personally I have a red laser on my romanian Dragunov AK that has proven very successful. It has never shifted out of alignment despite the brutal shock of over 1000 rounds.

so is this guy trying to kill someone?:D

so are we talking about killing someone? :D
dots---are you sure you want to go there..we have a few War Vets here and that is what happens. IMO just let it go. Unless you have been there and done that.. no sense in pot stirring-trust me.--hak

lol, just, he is talking about giving away his position. i think a green laser wouldnt be a problem if your just hunting. :O ill... *fades away*

I read you wrong-there , sorry. I believe we need the right to bear arms.

Good point tho, but if we arm bears and a hunter is using a rifle w/ a green dpss laser, once he turns on that laser the bear will know pretty quickly where he is, especially at night and bear would then have the advantage with just a conventional scope. If the bear had Red laser on his(or her-) weapon and a scope the hunter would be an easy target for sure. Just MHO.

I think it's silly to own a gun unless your a cop, in the military, F.B.I ect. and one of you said that guns are a last resort, and it will save your life? Honestly? Save your life from what? that's right nothing. We are ordinary people, not in Afgan in a middle of a war.

By your logic only government scientists should be able to own high power lasers.

but some people own it for sport and fun (hunting and shooting at the range)

As far as protection, I guess it really just depends where you live. You'll have to admit there are parts of the US where it's better to own one for safety reasons?
