GearBest offers at LPF

Just a heads up for Canadian buyers.

I've been buying from GearBest for a while now and
they always Free Shipped by Registered mail.

The last Free shipping order which was only $1.00
more expensive on BangGood was somehow sent
through Canada Post. OK no problem I thought.

Took just as long as the old Registered mail but I
needed to go to the Post Office to pay a $9.11
C.O.D.

The C.O.D was not for Duty or Taxes.
I get a filled out detailed Duty/Tax receipt when Duty
and Taxes are charged by the Canadian Government.

This C.O.D. charge was for shipping......

I Contacted GearBest and they offered 200 points that
they upgraded to 300 points for compensation that I
accepted. Still no Points......

I'll be buying from BangGood from now on. At least there
is no C.O.D charges from them and some items are even
less expensive there.

GearBest you let me down and you haven't made it right.

Yeah I bought a laser from them recently and it was about $100. It was a 532nm greenie. I asked them through email if it was around 500-1000Mw as the usual 5mW label is incorrect to bypass laser laws. They said it was in fact within that power range. Turned out to be around 100mW average. Also took a month to ship. bla:tired:

Anyone selling Lasers and quoting power SHOULD get themselves
a calibrated LPM to be credible.
You should have asked them if they have one or are pulling the
numbers out of their butt...

True at least Aliexpres's laser's show some type of LPM pic's whether its the laser in question and seem to be up to spec until they blow up!

I don't believe any output rating from any Chinese seller now, techhood on ebay might be honest, but I wouldn't even buy from him unless asking via email first and warning him I have an LPM to check. I believe most sellers assume we do not have the capability to measure the output and thus will tell us anything to sell to us.

How true and I can imagine how many non members think they have this 500mw laser and finding its not like they expected are now wanting to spend more for the 1W version:whistle:
and so on and so and so on:can:

Alaskan, that's a pretty safe bet in not trusting Chinese sellers for the most part. That being said, I would trust one Chinese Co. with their output readings, and that is Jetlasers. I've bought more than a few of J/L's products, and all have been as advertised. :yh:

I was very disappointed with gearbest after the latest "giveawway". I feel like they have got a good amount of publicity from LPF yet they can't complete the giveaway because "not enough entries" and after multiple updates and bumps they have not made any attempt to just complete the giveaway.

Not to mention they are not selling the Eachine x220 Wizard FPV drone... but banggood does.

Now I will say I have placed 2 orders with gearbest about a year ago, the order went well and the products were well received.

Gearbest still hasn't put their promised 300 points
into my account. Luckily I'm not holding my breath.

Since these lies and Gearbest's non credibility I
haven't spent a cent there nor will I.....

They've become a joke as far as I'm concerned.

Bowtie guy, yep, I didn't think of JetLaser, they are in fact all that and more, a great company in China. I brushed too broad a stroke, I was really thinking of ebay China sellers, but there again I've heard others give good reports for Laserlands when I have had more than one disappointment with them. I've always done well with Techhood too, but others have reported problems. That said, Techhood has always made any issue a buyer has had good later, that I know of.

Emailed Banggood to see if they would like to do something similar to gearbest as they offer many of the same products

If I remember correctly I got my Opus charger from gearbest. That is without a doubt the best battery charger and battery analyzer I ever bought.

I saw this lastnight and was a bit miffed but meh whatever. It is what it is.
