Bout time I said Gday to you all,

I'm from Melbourne, and I had an accident at work last year which resulted in my lower half of my right arm being amputated.

So, I've been doing some electronics to develop the fine motor skills in my Left hand and recently discovered my passion in Lasers...

Most of the people end up here because of their long lost passion in lasers, and trust me these are the best days to become on laser hobbyist!! ;-)
Sorry to hear about the accident but shit happens , what matters is you're still motivated and trying to get past it!! that's truly awesome if you ask me!!
Anyways, Welcome to the Forum.. You'll find a lot of interesting stuff to read from the basics of lasers to building them, Exercise eye-safety precautions as described in threads and here..

Welcome to the forum

Glad to see you here, although if I were in your position, electronics would not be my choice :D

Please make sure that while you are enjoying your lasers, you also enjoy your eyes and protect them!

Thanks for the welcome guys...

Haha Jerry, after reading all that, I wouldn't buy from wicked lol.
Damn shame that their hosts look good though. I've already had some dealings with Susie at O-like and she has been very helpful with my needs... Still looking for a nice host though... :)

The WL Artic is to big... IMO

Suzie and Faona have some nice Lasers as well...

There is also Survival Lasers and Cajun Lasers that sell some

That certainly is my number plate!!! On my 2011 ASX Aspire!!!

My case manager for my worksafe insurer nearly died laughing when she found out... All I can say, is that without my sense of humour... I would have stopped trying and given up ages ago :)

You should see the looks I get when I walk into a shop and the assistant asks "Can I give you a hand?" and I relpy... yep... I'll take your right one thanks!!! :p

Jasper - Earlier you asked about soldering etc...Check these out i think they may be a viable option if your going to solder , especially diode leads. This will give you more than enough magnification and keep your hand free

Common Sense RC - 20X Double Hands Free Loupe

The seller is reputable and service is very good.
