GB: 2$ copper modules ALL SIZES CLOSED

Which tap do we need for these. It would solve Joe's problem and I need one for an old module that I buggered up the front of when pressing in the module.

I checked on Amazon for 9mm 0.5 tap

Can someone point us to the right tap to chase the threads?

Thanks!

P.S. MJ, that would be your best bet right now. Just get a tap and chase the threads. You could probably even sell it here after you used it and get most of your $ back...

Maybe my lens is loose but I know every one screwed on properly

I've heard that about you AnthoT. :D

Yeah, it just has to come from China. I was hoping the Irwin Hanson Tap 5-0 9MM Plug (Pack of 5) was the same thing. It was prime shipping.

 lol I don't get it :p

Sorry, attempt at humor. It just sounded funny when you said, "Maybe my lens is loose." Kind of like The Office "That's what she said."

I guess it wasn't funny though.

Well this has been no fun. I have to order a weird sized tap from China and Joe has to get his own. :(

I dont think any of mine are, I haven't checked them all. But I did mess up an Aixiz copper a while back while pressing in a diode, so I want to chase the threads on that one. Plus it would be nice just to have one around to chase the threads on a module if I ever need to do it.

I'll look into some north American sources for you

I just tried a bunch I have sitting here and found a few that got tight but I found if as soon as you feel it getting tight then back it out and back in a few times it will loosen up but if you try to power through it they will bind up. Might be burs on the threads. We should probably ask in future batches they run the tap through them several times to get any burrs out.

Well we know for the next time  I must have a very loose lense as I keep trying but they all thread in properly

Good point, those things are a mess. Definitely worth blowing them out real good with canned air or an air hose.

If there is a next time, I'll be sure to not short change myself and get a larger order, for $2 these seem pretty decent. Thanks a ton for hosting this!
