First one is the original. What do you guys think ?^^ I found it very funny and each time I watch it I burst into laughs.. Okay okay children are starving in Africa but this is stupid.. Those milks weren't going to Africa anyway... Of course it's a waste but the prank itself is hilarious IMO..

In what universe is this supposed to be funny?

Or am I misunderstanding what a "prank [practical joke]" is?

Get a jug of milk, smash it, pretend you fell.

What else is "funny"?

Stand in streat, scream at top of lungs, pretend you got stung?

Seriously no offense and I'm not trying to be hard on you Peter, honestly, but am I missing something?

I enjoyed the "accidental" clumsy flailing of the jugs into the air. Nice.

I feel bad for those that have to clean it up however.

@Eudaimonium
I heard mixed things about this. You are one of those who don't find it funny. It's ok. The fact that me and lots of people burst into laughs while i showed it to them, tells me that it CAN be funny.

Sorry, have to agree with Eudaimonium on that one...:beer:

It is more than obvious that it CAN be funny - your statement alone is enough, you don't need to tell me of other people. But I cannot understand what exactly is funny.

Am I possibly missing some reference, to a movie or other cultural trend I'm unaware of, or something remotely similar in recent history?

Because alone as it is, with no context what so ever, I am literally keeping a straight, if mildly "what the..." face through first 1 minute of the first video, then hover over the end part to see if there's something at the end to explain what I'm seeing, before stopping the video.

All I can think of watching those is the destruction of property and the worker making minimum wage who has to clean it up.

That's a real prank ^ It takes effort and planning to pull off, everyone gets a laugh and no one is left cleaning up a galon of sticky juice off the floor.

They have to clean the debris. That is no excuse because ONE person has to clean for 2 more minutes. It's still a prank to me. They pretend they really fall and get hurt. People around believe them. They get pranked. It's about the people around. What is more to explain??
Come one people. Don't tell me you didn't laugh. Even a bit.

LOL, that was funny ARG, it sure took some planning. Also the camera was well hidden :D They did a good job at building it, it was made seamless, or at least appeared so on the video.

Hah, I can imagine myself, you know when you're walking on auto-pilot and just thinking of a dozen other things? All of a sudden, "Holy sh*t".

@Silvershot,
No, in 100% honesty, I did not laugh, not a tiny bit, not even smirk. Didn't change my facial expression at all.
I dunno why, just throw it all in the bin of stuff best explained by "I'm born on the wrong planet".

The gallon smash prank videos were not funny at all to me. If anything made me a bit mad, not because of the waste, but more on behalf of the people having to clean up, and people helping them up.

Large stores like that, the only people that work there, do make very little, they take the job because they simply cannot do any better at that time in their life. For the most part they do make minimum wage, and it's a thankless job. I worked in stores in high school, and summers. It's really not fun.

I also don't see the deception in this "prank" as being funny.

The office prank... that I liked. It's clever, took planning, and effort. Didn't laugh but I did smile.

According to netflix at least, I do enjoy slapstick comedy a lot... this gallon smash prank just wasn't it.

They have to clean the debris. That is no excuse because ONE person has to clean for 2 more minutes.

The difference is the people who did that prank will likely clean it up, whereas the galon smashers wont have to clean up a sticky juice mess. I'm sure it would take a bit longer than two minutes to clean up, mopping up the juice (probably multiple time to ensure the floor isn't sticky) and wiping down anything of shelf's that got sprayed takes a fair bit of time.

Edit: It might be funny if they had to pay for the gallons they smashed then clean it up.

Its funny to me because I like physical humor. We see everything from a perspective that those others in the store do not. All they remember is some guy with milk jugs walking past them - then one second later they're on the floor, there is a big crash and an empty milk jug is seen rolling down the aisle.

The first video did this much better though - the UK guys just stood there and spiked the jug, whereas those in the first video typically throw themselves into the air in a ridiculous looking fashion. This is what we get to see, and the others don't. We see the actual (ridiculous) transition from 'walking with milk' to 'milk explosion - plastic goes flying'.

From some other customers' perspective in the store, its the same point of view you get when a cartoon character accidentally crashes his bicycle into a storage closet, and all we get to see is a loose wheel rolling out from the closet - maybe a cat shrieks.

C'mon guys. Its not really so complex.

"How the f^%* did you break the light fixture in the ceiling when you slipped??"

We here know how.

exactly. the thing is that they take a wtf expression and can't tell how they fall.

Milk not funny. Actually made me mad.
Office prank funny.
Very nice summation, agreed.

It kinda even made me a little mad. Even if it were funny (which it is not), it's a terrible waste of milk. Would much rather see it in a coffee. Or in hand's reach after a hot chilli pepper. :D
