How lucky! The black one :)

Well I feel asleep last night or should i say Late Am hours.:p

So I checked and no it wont fit in such a pill as is.

If you drill the pill out it can fit very tightly.

It really was not desinged for small hosts. THere is a Reson why I dint go smaller. THere No Point.

Its a 2 cell driver that most will want to use without heatsink the driver. The driver Can run at 1.7A with no heatsink for ~ 2 minute with no problem. If I made it smaller then it would most likely cut that down to ~ 1.2A which is not what i wanted. Then It will be a Stricky heatsink driver.

THis driver can Fit in Just about any 2 cell host.

I can make it fit in a Black C3 host. Though Iam Saying No because not everyone can drill out the pill.

:thanks: For noticing

IMO its just as import to have the appearance look just as good as how it performs. It shows that the Person takes pride in what they are making.

I would feel embarrassed to send anything out half a$$ done.

It could be though that iam A little annul when it comes to that....:shhh:

But its really not hard to reflow. Once you actually have done quit a few boards you get the hand of it.

What currents are people interested in with these fixed output X-Drives? Obviously 1.8amps is a common one. 2.1amps? 500mA? 925mA? So many options.

Even though i did respond to your email i would like to mention it here aswell so others wont get confused.:)

These are the Fixed Version X-Drives V6. As in set with a Resistor.

The ADJ X-Drive V6 are not for sale at the moment by anyone.

IMO Fixed Currant is the way to go.

I have your 1.8A version in a Phaser with a M-140 and couldn't be happier.

I'm building a laser for someone, using a PS3 diode. Cajun sells the diode and states that 120mA is safe current for it, but only sells linear drivers. How do I go about purchasing the 120mA variant of your buck X-Drive?

Not to kill an x-drive sale... but at only 120mA what's the difference? Even a 10440 battery can run for hours at that low current. A buck driver will pull less current there too, but OK 100mA then. You'll gain almost nothing in run time; and heat in either driver at that low an output is negligible. Just saying... :na:
I've always said I love linears for stuff under 500mA and beyond that buck is the way to go.
Kinda like buying a 405-G2 lens for a 50mw diode, won't make much difference there.

When i buy tihs driver in stock i must connect it to test load before i connect it to the diode??

It would be a good way to confirm the Drivers actual output.
Don't forget to short out the Driver's output pins to discharge
ant residual voltages before connecting it to your Laser Diode
after the Load test.
