FS: Star Trek Phaser 'Hot' Option! Or, Individual Parts...

Oh man, two 445nm phasers on my to get list...sooner or later they will be mine. Just curious...how do you think that these would hold up under "dusty" conditions ??I want to bring them with me to Burning Man...which is located on a alkali based desert. It gets super dusty. The dust is as fine as baby powder. Thanks

Yeah if it's that dusty, I would not recommend any laser out there getting dust all over the lens and what not... (just me though)

Many people bring lasers to burning man. I would say keep them in a sealed container with some silicon gel packs in them. Bring distilled water and some microfiber cloths to wash your lens if need be. Have single element lens's on them... Bring extra batteries and make sure you take pics and share them with us :) If I was not in the middle of buying a house I would be there this year!!!

Thanks for all the pictures on this project.
I have my phaser and I want to try something
a little different. I may have to order some of
your stuff because my shop "garage" is COLD!!!!

JAY !!!!! I got my phaser running !!!!!!
In spite of my "simplified wiring" it is still
a stuffing job..
I'm running a 455 nM with a DrLava v5 driver.
I turned the power down to 1.3 Watts because of
heat considerations. Thanks for the photos and
encouragement.

This is not a project for anyone without tools and
knowledge to use them. I have the tools and needed
the challenge and I recommend using Jay's parts to
others unless you really know what's up. My "nozzle
is a little bigger and still needs to be put on the lathe
for fine tuning.
Thanks Jay
