My kit just came in yesterday. I assembled it with a higher wavelength GGW and set it at 155mA at Scopeguy's advice (I got the GGW from him). The build was fast and easy also a lot of fun. I'll have to get that 405-G1 lens now so I can use the focus ring. This is my first real laser and I must say Jay did a pretty good job with all the bits, they fit perfectly! Looking forward to build my own red and green laser now :) If I somehow fail, I'll stick with Jay's kits, they are good business and the end product has high quality.
I've attached some photos that I took in daytime with some smoke from the cigar I was smoking at that time. Only the one with the beam is made in complete darkness and I may have smoked a cigar about half an hour earlier.

i bought this kit from you a while back and i love it! i was just wondering if i could swap out my normal heatsink for the copper one because i love the way it looks! thanks!

P.S check out my thread on my handmade paracord cases for the diy green kit and other paracord items

Sure...

I sell the copper heatsinks for $27 dollars plus $3 dollars shipping as shown in the first post...

It's just a matter of a more expensive material, plus it is harder to work with.

So I hope you understand, that it would not make sense for me to trade you for a heatsink that I already made for you. The $8 dollar 'upgrade', is if you have not already bought an aluminum heatsink...

Oh i will have to invest in that soon! another question..... Do you have any chrome pocket mini hosts avalible? (not the kit just the empty housing)

Those have been back ordered...
