I'm going to assume you are referring to the violet pen-style lasers. I would keep the burn time to under two minutes on this type of build. With a pen-style laser this is usually not a problem unless you "tie" the button down in some way. Allow the unit to cool between burns.

If you want to make longer burns, get a module and place it into a good heat sink.

Peace,
dave

well, if by some miracle you still have any phr modules left in a week (friday the 30th) i'll buy one from you...awesome deal considering all the work is done and your selling them for almost cost.
;D
my check is going to be too small to pay all the bills anyways, may as well buy more lasers!
lol and it makes to quiver to think about how much you must spend on lasers dave.....and it always makes me feel betetr about how much i'm spending. thanks buddy!

If you would like me to, I will hold one for you.  Just let me know.  This is not my income.  This is "hobby" money.  If you don't get it until the first of next month, no problems.

I am a professor. My wife is a high school teacher.  The kids are all grown and moved out.  The truck is paid off and old enough that the insurance is cheap.  I already warned my kids that they couldn't rely on a large inheritance from me because I'm spending it all ;)  Disposable income is one of the few benefits of living long enough to get old.

Peace,
dave

**EDIT** The last of the red burners is gone.
ahhh okay :) go ahead and hold one for me then.
if someone ever decides to buy my red laser i'll have payment to you before friday.

Nice deals Dave !
Your still going to sell the odd argon from time to time, right?  :-/

Yeah.  i still love working with gas lasers.  I'm getting a 488nm dialed in right now.  Maybe next week ;)

Got my eye on one too ;)

Re: FS: daguin - Inventory Reduction Sale

All of the modules paid for by this morning were shipped this morning.

Peace,
dave

Re: FS: daguin - Inventory Reduction Sale

It's early Saturday evening (Pacific Time).  There are now only 12 of the violet (blu-ray) modules left.

Peace,
dave

Re: FS: daguin - Inventory Reduction Sale

What is the mA rating on those fixed rkcstrs?

Re: FS: daguin - Inventory Reduction Sale

Does the 130mw Blu-Ray ($100) give off a strong, very visible beam at night?

Thanks.

You should read this sticky

Some people can see the beam very well. Others cannot. I am one that requires more power to see the beam. I have old eyes and wear glasses. Younger eyes and eyes without glasses can see the beam better. Also how much "stuff" (humidity, dust, etc.) is in the air will affect how visible the beam is.

I know that was not a simple answer, but I have no idea how old your eyes are, whether you wear glasses or not, or where you live.

Peace,
dave

It's kinda wierd Dave.  :o

I also have old eyes, but my eyes prefer the cooler color temperatures.
Red just kills my eyes, but green and blue are just fine with me.

Yeah. Everyone is not the same. You may be one of the "lucky" ones. The "normal" aging process of the eyes usually leads to a "yellowing" of the cornea. Since yellow filters/blocks violet, most older eyes have more trouble seeing the violet end of the spectrum. Blu-ray (violet) light, at 405nm, is at the very end of the visible spectrum. I am very pleased that this is not affecting you much.

One of the reasons I did so much research with higher powered violet lasers is that I need at least 150mW of light just to see the beam :'(

Of course, now with the increasing availability of the 6X's, I am having a GREAT time :) I can see 200mW of violet light well

Peace,
dave
