The parts weren't just given to you for free wes. They were given [highlight]under the condition[/highlight] that they would be used as a gift for the girl.

As you broke that condition, you have no right to the parts anymore.

What the hell is wrong with you? When I saw your thread stating that you wanted to spend money on a friend for a gift I couldn't imagine why nobody liked you, now I see why. I was worried about this from the time Dave offered up the diode as in you would keep the laser for yourself, I didn't think you would sink so low as to selling it. You don't deserve to hang around this forum anymore. I'm sorry that I even offered up the idea to build her a laser. Here is the highlights of your other thread:

Take a good look at all of those things, how does that make you look? Do you think anyone will ever help you out again after they see this thread? Actually, ou may not have to worry about getting help from anyone because you probably won't be able to get onto the forum ;). I hope by doing this you didn't smash Dave's trust/faith in the forum and its members. True people would not do such a thing like this, it is not what hunamity is supposed to be like.

Right now you have sunk so low that you can no longer rise up, you are lower than the bottom of the food chain. Give Dave his stuff back, he is a really nice guy that was only trying to help you out. If you choose not to give it back, you will either get banned or have not only Dave, but me and all of these others treading on every thread you will ever post from here on out, maybe even your online sales accounts (I wonder what 0.1% posetive looks like? ;D).

use this example.

if you needed to pay your rent or a bill and someone was like ok i understand your situation and i wanna help you out.

and instead of paying your bills you go buy some drugs or anything but what the money was meant for that would be a complete slap in the face to the person that was helping you out. you then lose a lot of respect from that person and anyone associated with him

and in this case that is most of the members on this forum.


if you really dont care about your "friends" you have made on this forum and wanna make a quick buck then be my guest. go right ahead and take this gift and sell it to make a profit but please realize your throwing away a lot of good connections and good people as your friends!

i dont know any friendship or true amount of help and knowledge thats worth less than 40 dollars!

Do you really not realize why this is wrong and why that diode/housing/driver ISN'T yours? Sure, go head and keep the box, the switch and whatever else you bought but the materials that dave provided to you AS A FAVOR should be returned to him. If you want to build a DIY, do it the right way, dont prey on the generosity of the members around here just so you can make a quick buck. This is no different than scamming someone out of their money.

What if you gave the laser to that girl and found her on here selling it? You'd be pretty pissed right? In fact, you would probably say "Hey, it was meant for you as a gift, if you're just going to sell it I want it back." It's the same thing buddy.

Give the shit back to Dave and make your life a whole lot easier.
