The lens that comes with the 9mm is a glass lens and they don't really get any better than that.

In the lens barrel (between the two brass pieces). The flatter side faces the diode.
 
Also here is the cree driver battery contact, i could not desolder the parts without recking the traces (even asked my fried who does soldering) and can not be done well. Where should i get a new battery contact for that size. (i put the pencil for size comparison) What my friend did tell me is that i should just use the 2 leads that are going out of it right now but i believe that would limit the power.

First off you are 100% correct about the leads it has already and do not use them. Secondly, it is possible(and rather easy when skilled with a soldering iron) to do. I just cleaned 5 drivers in about 5 minutes last night because I needed one. I have four left if you want them:

Definitely for a first build get a lser with the leads pre soldered. DTR is where most of us would go for a module and laser assembly especially for a first timer.

I guess they are likely the same size. Can you measure yours? My boards are approx 17mm.

He already has a DTR module. He is asking about a contact board.

mine is approx 19.50 mm in diameter.

They won't work. Yours is a 20mm and mine are 17mm so mine will not fit.

I actually don't know of where to get 20mm contact boards off hand since I would make them myself if I needed them which is what I suggest you try. It is really not that difficult to do. All you need to do is let your iron get nice and hot and then heat up the solder on the components and they will just come right off. A trick is you need to heat up all the solder on the component for it to come off so try leaving the iron on a terminal on a component for a couple seconds until its nice and hot and then quickly heat the other side while applying a small amount of sideways force so that it slides off when the solder melts. Sometimes you might need to go back and forth on both sides a couple times until its all nice and melted. The FET chip is probably the most difficult to get off but all you need to do is get the contacts all nice and hot on both sides by turning the iron and using the side of the tip.

I have no issues doing this very quickly with a 30W soldering iron and with more power it would be even easier.

I did my best to desolder the components and i will post a picture later.

Now how do you get the lens out of the casing and how much force should be applied in which direction. I casing appears to be metal.
 
The casing can just be popped apart with two sets of pliers. Just use two pliers and grab a half of the holder in each and pull it directly outwards so it snaps in half. Don't touch the lens with the pliers at all. Once apart you can usually just pick the bits of glue off the lens with your fingernail easy enough.
 
I cannot tell if there is any glue around it but my fingernails cant see to scratch of off, would rubbing acohol do the trick

Also i have touched the lens with my fingers so there is my skin oil on it. What do i use to clean it, rubbing acohol?
 
91% isopropyl alcohol (aka rubbing alcohol) works great to clean lenses. Lower percentage isn't quite as optimal but it still works. I am unsure if the alcohol will take off the glue but it couldn't hurt to try. If anything you might be able to pick it off using a blade of some kind. Just take lots of care not to touch the faces of the lens with anything sharp and minimally with your fingers. The glue should be fairly brittle, mine came right off but yours might not be as cracked as mine was or something. Your goal is to be able to get it to fit into the lens holder so if the glue doesn't come completely off its not really a big deal as long as the lens fits.
