I think that this thread should now be considered a "SPAM" thread.
No replies. No good offers. Nothing of any sort of validity.
It's just a waste of space on the server !
Now if they were to come back and offer $175 per unit (plus shipping) based on sales of 10 I bet there would be 20 units sold in 24 hours. I would consider getting 2 myself at that price. Maybe combine my purchase with a couple of others in this area and we could get a multiple shipment for just one freight charge too ! (ARG could get his sent with mine.)
BUT I doubt there will ever be anything more about this here now !

^^^The previous DD firedragon GB should have been a good proof of concept that GB's do actually work.
I guess we wait and see... and if they do drop lasers to cost to get rid of them... I guess it's a good thing I get paid friday

I was talking to DD about running a group buy for this item but they stopped responding when I told them the GB price they were offering was more than individuals were paying for the units...

I'm sitting here at work so I can wait for a while to see if anything develops.
After lunch I will check again. If no reply then I will look at negative rep for them and perhaps requesting the moderator(s) get involved too.

That may be true. But the original posting has a claimed location of Palo Alto California and the account is shown as being active at this time.
So I will treat them as if they are where and who they claim.
If they turn out to be anything other than that then there is reasonable grounds for the moderators to ban them and delete their accounts.

Mods won't get involved... there is really little reason for them to do so. One member of LPF regardless of who it is is not required to respond to another.
The only clause Dino maybe braking, and that's a question of opinion is scamming (1W green laser anyone
) or spamming.
Feel free to neg rep though, if you feel it's justified.
As far as being a sponsor.. they pay for advertising, and they get a banner. That's all there is to it. Nothing else is owed to dino.

Just no one will get involved with something that's clearly a bad deal.
As far as a sponsor I would expect that they know the mods and they mods don't want them to get mad and take their money/ads elsewhere. Obviously they wouldn't let them get away with anything serious but if it was a grey area or something small I think most mods would let it slide.... I guess we shall see

The type of deal isn't what I am looking at, although it is a lousy deal.
The point is that they have opened a thread for discussion and then ignored the results from it. That is usually viewed as spamming around here.

Maybe they will, maybe they won't. That also isn't a big reason or concern to me. I'm just trying to be sure that EVERYONE is being held to the same principles. By bringing it to their attention it allows them to deal with it as they seem fit. That's part of the reason why they are here. Whatever the decision is will be fine with me.

I don't expect any advertiser to take their business away because the rules for posting may have been deemed as being broken by someone in their employ doing something wrong.
The advertising generates revenue from many people for many reasons. To eliminate it from a proven marketing position would be completely foolish.
To find the person responsible for the posting violation and tell them to smarten up would be far more prudent.
It's just bugging me today that this somewhat promising and very active thread (indicating a fair amount of interest from members) has turned out to be nothing... I have been waiting for something like this to come along for a while now and don't like them "dashing my hopes" I guess.
But it would be in keeping with their regular way of doing business...
