FEELER CNI 561nm 5mW pointers.

561nm is usually used alongside or in place 488. It is used in fluorescence excitation for dyes and other similar applications. 488 commonly excites many of the dyes used in cytometry, but a few dyes are pumped more efficiently by 561 IIRC. (375 is used sometimes too I might add) It's also used in confocal microscopy. It basically replaces the Krypton 568nm line in a lot of applications, so anything a krypton ion or a green laser is used for you may see it replacing or working with. It's a really interesting color. A very bright yellow green.

Newest correspondence with CNI says that our lasers will be shipped next Friday. Hopefully this is true!

Well that would be fast if yours does ship by then. I've been waiting almost a month and it's in the states now, but they sent it to LeHap by accident and rerouted it last minute so I don't get it until mon or tues. Spec report shows 3mW though using CR2. Thanks LeHap for all the help

Your welcome friend! :)

styro, that's good news, I hope that timetable is correct!

@ micheal, congrats on your 200th. :D

Well just got mine. Can tell it's a very special build for them. It's labeled 532nm on the box and on the safety sticker itself, but the paperwork all says 561nm and the color is most definately 561nm

Fantastic, glad you finally got it!
Now, you know what we're all waiting for don't you? :D

Haha yup unfortunately at work, but between later tonight and off tomorrow there will definately be some photos have to pick up some more cr2s as well. I can tell this laser is just going to be a joy to use.

nice! too bad you had to wait so long. i hate waiting for things in the mail. how would you describe the color?

How exciting! I wasn't aware that these used CR2s... unless you ordered a different build of course.

They told LeHap it would be a AAA GLP, but when he received the spec sheet from them it said it used CR2 so we were just as surprised. In a good way of course. I like the bulkier pen host look.

Great news!
That sounds like a good way as any to be fair; in all honesty, there isn't much difference between them anyway.

Styro, let us know what other costs you incurred with this order, so we can reimburse you.
