I will have no problem paying my share of the extra expenses. I do not know how many people are involved in this GB but it is only fair to Styro that all the participants pay there share. If it was not for him we would not be getting our 561 lasers. He should not have to pay the 90 dollars out of his pocket. We just sat back and let him (LeHap, Michael R) do all of the work
Just let me know how much my cut of the pie is and I will PP you the funds.

Agreed, I'm sure everyone involved feels the same. Whenever all the extras are tallied up, just let us know, and we'll make it right.

Oh I enjoyed it, stuff like this is fun for me. So don't worry about me doing some work for the people of LPF.

in this case, just to complete peoples wavelength collection. its also near the peak of visibility in the spectrum, meaning that a 5mW 561nm laser pointer is going to be brighter than any other color, even green.

I have had some trouble following the thread ...so many diffent lasers, modules, etc are being considered. Is this one a pointer? Is that the one for about 180 or somthing like that?

did you read the stickies? its a feeler. this thread was originally for a general group buy from CNI, but it turned into a 561nm laser pointer feeler since there was high demand. styropyro then had a group buy for the pointers since its such a good deal (260$).

I tried to find this pointer on the CNT site but could not. Have you ever seen one of these?

i dont know what you mean, no ive never seen one personally, and not online. these lasers are being custom made for us, and are made to order, not manufactured and stocked ready to ship like most lasers.
 
That is funny. I have used flow cyomters in the lab and never thought about the details of how they work! I shold take one apart :-) Now, how they are used in medical imaging is another story. I understand CT, MR, and PET...although....my opthomologist uses equipment that utilizes lasers but they emit a red wavelength.
