I say Chuck Liddell...
A friend of mine bounces at a club called the Government in Toronto. A few months back the UFC was in Canada to promote and try to get some events going at casino niagra etc. He has met thus far, Randy Coture (Who also licenced a gym here), Chuck Liddell (which I had the pleasure of meeting) nice guy, but one scary dude! Chris leeban, Joe daddy stephens (little guy whom can whoop some a$$) and Stephan Bonnar (Should of been a Canadian
. Those are the ones I can remember (just not the correct name spelling :-/)
Liddel's hands were the size of canned hams, not to mention the mixed martial arts background, putting him against norris would be a historical match if only both were in their prime.
Few Facts:
Chuck Liddell- Koei Kan Karate (The Kanji – Chinese characters used in Japanese form of writing – lettering on his scalp means Koei-Kan. And, in English, Koei-Kan translates to peace and prosperity), kickboxing, wrestling, Bazilian Ju-Jitsu, Muay Thai, holds heavyweight titles in the USMPA, WKA, two national Kickboxing titles, true champ of the UFC, and Pride FC. Chuck's kickboxing (k-1) record was 20 and 2 with 16 knockouts, which is not surprising when he can take champ out with a single hit :
Chuck Norris- Tang Soo Do and Tae Kwan Do, Norris-created Chun Kuk Do hybrid martial art.
an avid golfer and he has participated in several celebrity golf events throughout his lifetime
Chuck Norris was a great movie star, and a good point fighter, but in today's martial arts world he's just not that tough.
As for "Professional UFC fighter vs. Cowboy who knows karate
Now who wins?" Look into Heath Herring, MMA heavyweight, AKA 'The Texas Crazy Horse'
BTW Karate is nothing nowaday in the MMA world, the skills of the best fighting styles combined will ALWAYS WIN. Try and find a copy of UFC II, you will see all the little Karate guys recieving some serious beatings when put against true MMA fighters ;D Royce Gracie took the title, he even though not a big man utilized MMA for his wins.
Just a thought of course....[/quote]
Ya! Now what, Nikokapo?
