I have it nailed down now, after I get my deep well circle cutters and attach a stop ring for the depth I think a can use a brass punch and hand fit it, even use my large vise to push them through.
Heck for 20 dollars on flebay I can skin this cat. I can use a good quality deep well 7mm socket for a press, I have lots of tools, old snap on and craftsman from my auto days, I have multiples of everything.
This is all I need to buy:
This
This
THIS
THIS will do just fine. I can use a longer bolt, but I will add a stationary plate with a cutouts so it the socket presses without turning, or my large vise and a small socket. The big vise would be better, no need to build something for the sake of doing it.
THIS would be total overkill.
It's a simple concept, the right diameter hole saw to fit the round pocket on the back and cut within a fraction of the diode back, then use a deep wall socket to push it through in a large vise.
Hell forget the socket I will push it through with the hole cutter.
START OVER, RIGHT SIZE HOLE CUTTER and a large VISE, Cut just short of hitting diode back, I will make a guide plate, press through with hole cutter in place, simple.
A little fine tuning and I could do it production line style, I could with an assortment of those diamond cutters start with what fits and work up to widen the sides until it falls out, just a matter of sitting and playing with it, with the windows/Gball well protected of course.
