Ehgemus/dtr custom 1+w 520nm laser(UPDATE SNOW PHOTOS AND VIDEOS)

The Beast is here !!! This is not going to be a big fancy review. Iv been sick for awhile and dont have much energy. But this laser is such a beast i managed to take some nice photos and get a lpm graph.

A few days ago i received my custom 520nm laser from Ehgemus with DTR's completed laser module with the NDG4745 diode. I have always wanted a green laser over 1 watt and this thing does not disappoint.

The process went very smooth. Once Ehgemus received the laser module i have the laser in my hands less then a week later. I will be doing this much more often now.

This laser is amazing in every way. The feel the momentary button has is super high quality and seams like it will be very durable. it also has a clicky in the back to activate the momentary side switch. I love this feature as it wont turn on when i don't want it to. Duty cycle should be pretty good. like 2-3 minutes. It was just barly warm after the lpm test. Overall this is the best laser iv ever owned. The beam is just insanely bright. Never seen anything quite like it. Divergence is not bad. Im using a g2 lens. It has about the same divergence as a m140 with g2 lens. I measured 950 mw with 3 element lens. but the beam looks much more impressive with the g2 lens.

Alex, that's one exceptional green beast of a laser you've got there; I love it. :beer:
I wondered who had snagged that host from Ehgemus. What mA is your driver set at? 1400mW is pretty impressive!

Hi nice 7475 diode i have 3 builds with them i just think there sick. So bright and green If you get e chance try the NDG700 set to 2.4A i have 2 builds with them and they hit 1100+mW's Awesome host i'm jealous +Rep to you Buddy fine job.

actually this is not the same laser in that post. i contacted him to see if he could build another one and he said no problem All i know is he set it to 2.4a

Nice laser man!I just got a host from him today and stuffed a DTR 515nm Nichia module in it.My build is what I call fun-power at 84mw...the diode is adjusted by DTR to the Nichia max current of 300ma.My host uses 3 AA cells.I am using eneloop pros.

What batteries are you using?I can run 18650's or 26650's in my 1.2 watt 520 Jetlaser PL-E pro.I really like the 26650's....especially for burning!

i use 2 18350's Im using aw imr cells as they are the only cells that will run it.

my efest 18350imrs, and efest imr 16340s will not power the laser. so odd

Yes the box is pretty annoying but its very noticably brighter then with 3 element. I hate 3 ele because of the very think and thing rectangle beam exiting the apature. G2 makes its much more narrow so it looks more laser like i guess as the expense of more spread farther out. Both have there ups and downs. I think the battery issue is the little contact nub on the tailcap. I dont think its protruding far enough.

You are right about the beam profile.My beam is pudgy...but I don't mind because I love the color.This 515 Nichia 100mw diode I am using is just a bit longer wavelength than the 5/50 mw skylaser pen I bought recently.I think my favorite color is near 510nm.Even so a 532 looks really yellow green next to it.

And to think 10 years ago none of these diodes existed!
