Here is something nest. I finally got around to building a unit that I have been really wanting to get done for a few months now and thought I would post some pictures of this somewhat unique unit. I really wish I had the time to make it one of my full blown reviews but I had to settle for this.
This is a variation on the L2 Solorforce hosts. But this one has a very unique design. Check it out. I first saw it as a special body offered by Lighthound and though it would make an interesting addition to my collection.
It has a pretty awesome feel when holding it. It has some decent weight as well. The threading tolerances really are amazing and the rear click is really solid with great action.
Here are some pics.
This unit has a massive heatsink that slides into the body for great heat transfer into the host body like pretty much all the L2's which makes them good candidates for higher power build.
This one is using a Moh 1.8A Linear driver that is glued with thermal adhesive in the large heatsink very well. The host running of two 18350 1100mAh batteries and sports a G-2 lens.
I have let this unit run for about three to four minutes to get the LPM and beam shots and the host was barley warm plus the warmth seemed very uniformly throughout the host with is a good sign that it is moving the heat away from the sources pretty efficiently.
Anyway got a good 2.3W out of it.:eg:
Let me know what you think.
