DTR's Laser Shop: Diodes-Drivers-Lenses-LEDs & More

Re: DTR's Laser Shop: 445 M140 Diodes $45 Shipped US Diodes-Drivers-Lenses-LEDs & M

Sounds good. Yea 10X,12X,14X are the drive speed ratings for the unit they came out of not necessarily a good way to describe the capabilities of the diodes but it seemed to hold good when going from 4X to 6X to 10X but not in the later generations but 6X to 10X is a much bigger jump than going from 12X to 14X. It was sad to see that again when they went to the 14X burners here recently they did not need a stronger diode to do it than what was already in 10X and 12X burners. I was really hoping to find a 1W+ single mode diode in that thing.:(

I got got lucky and did not get any of those but I don't think he was talking about them. From what I found they can all be traced back to the same source which is not where I get them. Plus I have an arrangement for extracted and tested ones from my source which if they were fakes they would not pass.;)

Re: DTR's Laser Shop: 445 M140 Diodes $45 Shipped US Diodes-Drivers-Lenses-LEDs & M

hi,i would like to buy ur m140 diode as shown in this page($64 version):
https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/445-m140-didoes
i'll also buy a 1.5A microboost driver too! Im planning to buy them in these few days

there's some question i would like to ask about this diode:
1. is the $64 version m140 diode a 2W diode?because i saw there's a 1W m140 diode below it and it's confusing
2. what is the module used?is it aixiz module?
3. i've read a thread saying some of your diode are inefficient,so if i order a diode from you,can you test and give me a high efficient diode?because this is my first build laser and i do want a good memories for my first diy laser!here's the thread saying ur some of ur diode is inefficient :

Re: DTR's Laser Shop: 445 M140 Diodes $45 Shipped US Diodes-Drivers-Lenses-LEDs & M

M140's are M140's there are not two versions of them. Most all of them can hit 2W with ease.

Yes the modules are standard Aixzi 12mm modules.

All diodes are luck of the draw there is no binning of diodes. The other thing to keep in mind is that efficiency and wavelength seem to be inversely proportional so visual brightness should all be about the same at given currents regardless of efficiency.

ok then,i'll place order in these few days, looking forward to it !!
btw,i dont have LPM,so i'll assume that it's output power is 1.5W when driven by 1.5A. :)

Output will depend on the lens. With a three element it will typically fall between 1.3W-1.6W and with a G-1/2 lens 1.5W-1.9W @ 1.5A.;)

well, my first laser is gone, I think it was a peak, I had capacitors and everything and happen after many uses and burns, I see now that there are a new generation, I think I had the A model and was driving it at 1.5A direct drive, sadly it did not had many hours of use.

do you have another way of getting paid besides paypal? like WU or similar?, I'm trying to decide if I go with a green or one of those new blue with 2W :D

On your site it lists the 405-G2 lens on both the 405 and 445 diodes. I need another 445 /w drive but am wondering if I can use the 405-g2 lens from the s12x 405 I got that I've since smoked or would I need to get the lens with the new diode.

No need for an new one. The G-2 works with 405, 445 and 635 diodes.

Re: DTR's Laser Shop: 445 M140 Diodes $45 Shipped US Diodes-Drivers-Lenses-LEDs & M

Thanks.. I don't see an option for the diode in module with driver without a lens. Is it posible to get the (1.3W 445nm Blue Laser Module W/Microboost & 405-G-2 Glass Lens $130) with just the Acrylic lens, let me know price and how to order.

Received the M140 diode very promptly.

Thanks for the awesome shipping. :san:

Cheers!

NM As soon as I get enough saved up I'll just order one with the lens

HEY DUDE ----
I got my 445 nm 9 mm diode kit today. Perfect!!
Thanks a bunch but I can't leave another +1 yet.
