I got a job at a locally owned PC repair shop. They also do some console, phone and tablet work. Some of you have seen the pictures of PCs that are full of dust and stuff. I was working on a PS3 not too long ago that had roaches inside that were alive... It even reeked of some kind of smoke. If there are roaches inside your electronics, I'd hate to see the rest of your home.

Don't feel alone. I had people bring clothes that needed repairs to my former spouse' shop with baby barf, s stains And other gross stuff on them. Also when I worked as a pest control guy, the houses I've been in would make a rat hold its breath.

I would have told them too bring the stuff back after washing it.

my friend takes them (desktops)from the front desk- straight out the back of his shop-
power screwdriver opens the case-and high pressure air blows everything out-
seen lots of live roaches-insides that look like something from a scary movie-cobwebby-nasty- chunks of crud/dust hair --& you can always tell who smokes on-line

Just 5 minutes before I saw this I was throwing out trash down the hall and came across this decent looking maby 30" flat screen tv with a remote taped to the side in a corner of the hallway in front of the elevators. Its common for tenants to do this as I do also, cause others might need. Now I dont need a tv for now but it was still tempting and I wrestled with the thought. I just kept reminding myself the storys ive heard of these exact posts of bug infestation with people bringing in these appliances. I use to hear as a child "good night dont let the bed bugs bite" and never even know what it ment till I saw it first hand at someones years ago. If its to good to be true then dont take it, heck im even scared of brand new products being infested in the warehouse:undecided:...ive heard of pest control workers unwitingly bringing in roaches to houses by just doing a check...Trustmonkey what kind of steps did you take as far as going home when working pest control?

Should've just slid it over to in front of your door, and bump the price up to $5

Oh man, skin is crawling right now.
I took a PC apart and 2 fans were so plugged up with cat hair they could not spin. The hair was so fine and short it got past the screens.
They smoked also which made it worse!!:barf:

There's no way I could live with roaches, I do feel sorry for people stuck in apartments with filthy neighbors.
Now dust and junk piled up I'm guilty of, but no bugs, no way.

for people with roaches problem. if you see the roaches just introduce them to your boots.

I have lived in apartments, it's been a while and hopefully never again, but if you have filthy neighbors their roaches will make their way in, then poison and glue traps will keep them at bay, if you wait until you see eggs and tiny roaches you have been infested, so if you see just 1 large roach come in then set out glue traps and see what you catch, if you see more spray, also keep all food and food wrappers in the kitchen trash.

When I lived in NYC for 3 years back in the mid 1980's everywhere had problems with roaches, I used many of these:

There are many people who live in homes that are full of stuff or full of garbage where they just have a path to where they sleep and where they sit and to the kitchen and bathroom and to the door, and the rest is just filled with garbage. I saw a place like that once on some TV documentary and many years ago there was a police detective I knew who told me he had seen places like that multiple times.
