yeah im going by jayrobs low power 7 color specs. in his first one he had a tested 9mw green module.
im giving it a go with an lpc and phr first in case i break something its cheaper to fix. then later on when i get ballsy i may put a ggw in.
as far as ggw or s03, id go with whatever one is easier to extract since they are the same price.
 





Oh dark, if you feel you would never sell any 5-10mw modules, i could always get a 30mw module and turn it down.
 
I thought the "S" in S03 stood for "Sucks"...:whistle:
But an "F" is less likely to be confused for a "2" as in 203..

For one he got me banned for making a death threat because he couldn't handle his end of a stupid argument we were having. There was no death threat, and I clearly posted that a few times. If you dont like me ignore me, don't cry to the admin and make up stories. That's serious chit. Anyway I was cleared. After that I kept up with his posts, like I do most peoples. Soon it was clear what type of person he was. He is totally plastic, only cares about himself, only does things for profit, and screwed a bunch of n00bs. I dont like that. My family is full of people like that and it pisses me off seeing it here on the forum. I'd stop but he keeps -repping me. This is actually the first time I repped him back. Like I've said many times, he is his worst enemy. If he just shut his mouth, and just concentrated on his business, people would not be jumping all over him. But he cant, so the flames go on, and he keeps digging his grave deeper. (this is not a death threat LOL)

We can ease the confusion by NOT calling those sleds "BDR-S03" They are NOT BDR-S03's. There actually is a Pioneer model BDR-S03. THESE SLEDS are NOT them.

I might suggest the "F03" designation. However, it must be used WITHOUT the BDR attached to it. It is too confusing already.

Also, I suggest you hold off on the purchase. We DO NOT know that they are anywhere near as good as the GGW. AFAIK EVERY one of these that was run at 300mA is now dead. We do NOT have any good tests at even 200mA.

I have one more here and a couple with IgorT, but both of us are more involved with the 8X vs.12X testing right now. I would just set the one I have up for a long term test at 200mA, but I need my power supply and "testing" heat sink right now. I could set it up with an 18650, but I don't have an extra heat sink any more (damn thieves).

If you can get a couple "samples" (or buy a couple) then maybe you could do a long term test at 200mA. However, I would NOT be confident that it will survive even 200mA based on the time frame that the sled was produced. When these sleds were produced, burners were in the 2X to 4X transition. Odds are they are either 2X or 4X sleds.

Edit: I was going to use Flash and animate the sabers and scroll the lettering and make the two move their mouths. It would have been cool for them both to speak the lines. Ah sorry I'm just bored tonight.

And when you say there actually is apioneer model BDR-S03 (thats a real 8x? or a crappier one?)

and thats crazy... a 2x-4x burner, sold as an 8x burner. how would that diode even achieve that burning speed? just real good optics and a fast ass spindle maybe? lol just askin

I think i'll hold off on em, like you suggested, unless they will send me a sample or two. then i could run on @ 200mA and see if she lasts the abuse.

I'd apprecite it if that wasnt there for all to see, it's kind of annoying when someone who doesnt know you make a starwars animated gif of me and Daguin fighting. it also calls me a liar and a scammer in it as well...
