He responds promptly to my emails and I've gotten my products with lightning speed (except the one time i mentioned above but I didn't care because I'm sure he has a life outside of LPF, took a week & two days to get my diode).

ugh... I'm not defaming anyone... its already happened on other posts. Look I need a break from arguing alright? I'm trying to get good rep here. Ask someone like Daguin about Tyler.

No one is here to argue with you, so why are you getting so defensive? I mean if Tyler is indeed a scammer, you really should do us all a favor and post your experience here so we can avoid him if that is indeed the case. Also, why should I ask Daguin? You made the post here, not him...

It has been dealt with. Part of ending it was the agreement not to continue the drama in the forum. Plenty was posted in other threads. There is no reason to drag it up here. This thread is simply a question about whether Tyler is intentionally overcharging for shipping or whether he needs to fix a glitch in his store's software.

Because a whole thread was posted about the whole thing. I'm not being defensive. I made a mistake even mentioning it. I'll try to find it for you if you are willing to read the extensive writing. Man, is it long

Edit: What Dave said. My mistake for bringing it up. I was just trying to warn a member to be careful is all

Hmm. I go on my lunch break, and I come back to this.

It was just a question as Daguin said, no name calling or judging.

Tyler is a good guy, no one here should be saying he is a scammer.

If the price was "mysteriously" rising. Screen shot it. Ask him why, maybe because demand is higher? Maybe running low and he isn't making a decent profit margin to run the online shop.

If the pricing to deliver to Australia is too high at Darklasers, it doesn't bother me, nor it should anyone else, shop elsewhere.

It was just a query. :)

Let's just stop this thread from continuing, and get on with our awesome laser filled lives

No worries Dave, I didn't post in it. I gotta say though...interesting thread. I never really looked at that simply because I'm hell bent on being a DIY person. It actually bums me out that I did what I did today (what we talked about in PM). Like I honestly thought I could do it lol :'(

Naw. My first build was JayRob's pen host. I chose to go with a PHR diode as my first diode with a Rkcstr driver inside of the Aixiz module. After frying five PHR's (smh I know horrible lol) I finally nailed it and got it working. However when I loaded everything inside of the host, the laser wouldn't work. I was thinking a short maybe, but not that I could see. So I shipped it out today for Dave to look at so he can tell me what I'm doing wrong. The build seemed easy enough, but it got the best of me.

Pen lasers are a pretty tough first build. Most people start out with a project box or something like one of Jayrob's MXDL host kits. There is so much room in those you could bring a friend ;)
