Here I'm again
After the first Cypreus IIIb version:

Since I was not fully satisfied of the dioptika beam expander
(item too heavy, focusing mechanism slow and sloppy, high loss of power, fast axis becomed too large), I have found a small, short, fixed magnification version
of the Linos beam expander.
Among the other things, the lens coating of this BE is perfect for the 450nm diodes, so the power loss in near to zero!

Since the lens entrance aperture is 3mm max, I was forced to play a lot with the divergence to achieve a dead focus as near as possible to the
three elements glass lenses.
The best spot was at about 4.5mm from the aperture, so I created a special adaptor to place the beam expander at the correct distance.
To check if everything is ok, it was enough to set the BE focus at the max expansion factor and check that the beam bar do not touch the borders of the
output lens:
I obtained a 10x magnification also with a small output lens because the input beam was focused just over the first small input lens,
so the beam waist was very very narrow.
The bar obtained looks more like a rectangle rather than a line, and using the whole of the BE thread is resulting in a fine and precise adjustment.
The output beam is very nice, the fast axis is not too wide for a 10x magnification factor and looks more as a 3x expanded beam!
So here it is the beautiful build:

The dots seems identical. The Linos expander has eliminated the two wings around the dot:

For a 450nm diode with three elements glass lenses and a beam expander it is always a good output power!
My diode has a little kink after 55 seconds from power on that permit to earn an extra output power of about 200 mW .. strange and nice thing
This is my definitive version of the Cypreus IIIb!
This beam expander is fantastic in conjunction with three elements glass lenses, while the Thorlabs 3x with his big input aperture is suitable
for the corrected beams (405-G2 lens plus corrective optics).
