I love SSDs. Even with a lot of RAM the system performance improves dramatically with an SSD, especially on laptops (my #1 laptop upgrade). Hard drives are great for bulk data, but for that small chunk of programs/data that needs fast access the SSD is a very noticeable improvement. Programs launch quickly, and games load their data extremely fast from the SSD.

It'll be a great day when SSDs are as cheap and have as high capacities as hard drives today.

Computer just jumped to the top of the list.

The stock intel cooler sucks. Why am i using it?

My pump failed. Not so bad until I wondered why a silly flash game on facebook was stuttering like mad and generally the computer was behaving like crap.

Then the over temp and low pressure lights on my little indicater panel started blinking. Checked realtemp and yup 98C!

quickly pulled the plug and let it cool down. Checked the pump connections and fired the beast back up and no water flow. So wrestled the WC system out of the computer (with minimal spillage) and chucked the intel cooler in there (new out of the box LOL). Wound my OC back to stock speed and all is happy again.

Ahh the joys of owning a WC rig

So now I'm going to need to buy a new pump, reservoir (the original was a combo unit) and water block - I didnt really like the performance of the one with the kit.

About the only good bit in the kit is the huge radiator

This is well worthy of the fail thread

I had a friend over so I was trying to get everything done quickly and I left the protective plastic sheet over the heatsink. Mind you, im no rookie when it comes to computers and this was a one off

Removed the film and re-applied my paste, all is good and when overclocked from 2.6 to 3.6 ghz and under load (running CoD4) it stays under 45 degrees celcius. Me fail, but Me impressed

So, I can completely reccomend this product to anyone looking for a high performance heatsink for their cpu. This thing is huge and keeps the heat of my processor down. I would get 80 degrees celcius peaks with the stock intel heatsink, and when you compare these together the intel heatsink looks like a piece of crap.
