Hmm. What recourse upon seizure? Seems ridiculous that they would declare it laser Stuff when Every Chinese company that deals with the US knows FLASHLIGHT is the preferred declaration. Though DHL usually shoots em through....

I wouldn't worry about it. Remember, modules are completely legal to import and export.
 
Aren't all the PGL-III-C lasers fully FDA compliant Laser Devices meant for easy integration into your own OEM Lab Setup?
 
Yes, they have the shutter, delay, key, and dongle (not sure what the 5th safety feature is).

So they should be fine.
 
Laser beam emission indicator light is the last of the requirements iirc. I could be (and hope I am) wrong but AFAIK CNI doesn't have accession numbers for their products which is why I was sweating bullets when my 589 took so long to clear customs. I think like UPS DHL has their own in house customs clearance which hopefully means things go smoothly for you guys.
 
To be honest I had kinda lost my spark of excitement for this laser until now. My new batteries are in, and now DHL is processing through Beijing. So close :D
 
For those as antsy and worrisome as I am, the package made it through customs and is in Cincinnati at the moment. :beer: So breathe easy and kick back, because soon Bloompyle will have his hands all over our packages :D
