Was browsing another thread and WBS posted something and ended it with [confession] which made me think of something I do all the time. Got me wondering, what do the rest of you have to confess about being a LPF addict. Doesnt have to be bad, doesnt have to be funny, could be stupid, could be a fail, could be a win; whatever you want to confess, post it

I tend to hit "new posts" all the time to see what new is happening or being discussed. I also tend to hit it every 15 seconds when I get bored at 3am and then freak out since no one is posting so there is nothing to talk about! Then I realize I have no life and spend too much time in this community.

I'm an addict, I have reached the first step of this addiction...........I dont want to be cured

Hi, my name is Tony, and im addicted to lasers

How this for bad . Two min, and I still feel late.

I'm a user control , new post repeat kinda guy.

I'm here during work, while at home, in bed, I got it bad.

As soon as I started I've been on a buying spree that just hasn't stopped

I realized I was an addict the other day when I sat down at my desk at work and the first thing I did after logging into the computer was come right here. And sometimes I have to go hide at work so people will leave me the heck alone and let me read in peace...

Because I'm new, I tend to read one section at a time while constantly refreshing 'New Posts' and searching for things... I just wish there was an app like Tapatalk so I don't have to squint while driving :crackup:
 
So what if I check the forum as soon as I get home, then basically every hour? I can stop whenever I want, I swear!

After I get up in the morning, I literally grab my phone or turn on my computer and go to LPF. During the day, I check in at least once every two hours on average.

Of all the communities I've been to, LPF feels different. It seems like I'm stuck here unlike others where I can come and go as I please.
 
I'm the last one out of the work truck because I'm replying to a thread or pm, first back in the truck to see the reply. My co workers even know I'm an addict.

I've never been a part of a forum before so this is my first online community experience. I'd say I'm stuck too.

Where's lazerbeak been? that guy was all over the place for a while. tmack is like the new lazerbeak.

hard to believe I've been here almost a year. I'm checking crap all the time on here, usually I don't post just to chat. now Im watching those new 9mm diode prices like a falcon watches it's prey, waiting for the perfect time to dive.

Here's hoping they follow the pattern of other diodes, sooner rather than later:beer:

just thinking though, when 1W greens become cheap and all the sites start selling them... well you thought the aircraft stories were rampant with the cheapo pointers....just wait, and stress responsible use in the meantime. maybe its better these remained at least somewhat pricey, expensive enough that not many will be willing to make the investment just to be a menace, but cheap enough that us hobbyists jump on the price as a good deal. maybe around $100-$200 for the diodes could achieve this balance, but what do I know, just speculatin'

It's 4:49am my time...why am I on LPF.
The biggest question I get is : "ok that's neat, so what do you use them for?" And "you spent THAT much on a laser?!" "Why do you need another one? You have 7 already"

I dodge these questions from my girlfriend.

I have to admit physics was never my strong point but I really do enjoy the science involved with lasers and I like to build things:)

What about InfinitusEquitas? Not saying that I miss him, but he hasn´t posted this year :p


For the addict part, no I´m not, I just enjoy reading and posting here most of the time :beer:

I´m able to arrange my LPF-time with my real life and I´m offline when there is something more interesting to do :D
