Re: CNI GB starting Updated

Hey Laser people, I still didn't get word from CNI on the Green pen lasers like the 150 mW Sawt wanted, but I will ask again, The yellow "C" Battery unit seems like a great deal, does 6-10 mW for ~ $600 shipped (in ConUS), who is getting one of these?  LG charges >$1000 for it.

I am also waiting on an update on the "C" battery CNI PGL III 150 mW, and I was asked if they still offer the same unit powered by a 18650 battery, so, I don't know yet.  I hope to put in the order within a week so please PM or email me if you are ready to get your CNI(s)   All My Best!  -Glenn

Re: CNI GB starting Updated

PGL-III-A-532 150mW /Unit USD300.00

PGL-III-532 150mW /Unit USD260.00

Why is the bigger one(PGL-III-532) cheaper than the smaller one(PGL-III-A-532)? It's same mW.

Re: CNI GB starting Updated

My guess would be PGL-III-532 are cheaper to make? Or maybe PGL-III-A-532 has some better optics? Would be cool to have a "cut trough" view or .PDF of those two.

Re: CNI GB starting Updated

Hey Glenn,

Can you put me under the "still interested but cannot commit" category? I'm still trying repair one of my lasers to fund this one.

thanks

Anyone who makes lasers will attest, it's easier to work with a larger host or case and will usually also give better heat sink, and longer duty cycle. Small powerful lasers are popular, but don't always make as much sense.

Re: CNI GB starting Updated

PGL200 mW price just in!
PGL-III-A-200mW/Unit USD350.00

Re: CNI GB starting Updated

Come on people!  Great prices on great lasers!  Get'em while your dollars are worth more, inflation is on the way!

Just to make sure, I'm definitely getting a 5mW 473nm pen (Aquarius-style) for $345 shipped to my door, I'm in, ready to Paypal ;).

Now, I've considered it some more, and if it helps you as a bargaining chip, I'm prepared to get a 5mW 593.5 pen (Rigel-style) as well if the price is right.  I have no idea if they'll help us out any more on it, I'm sure you're doing all you can, appreciate all your hard work, you're certainly the man already.

But if it helps any at all, my price level is, like I mentioned before, $700 total for both.  So whatever that does for you: if it helps any with them, they can sell another laser if they can get it to that level.  Maybe having a level where they can have another guaranteed sale would help, maybe not, but can't hurt, right?[smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Thanks again, and come on people!  Get your lasers!  Save yourself, and everyone, some money.

How about:

PGL-III-A-532/150mW
and
PGL-III-A-532/100mW

I figure shipped it would be $300 for the 150 mW, if you want 100 mW maybe you should get one made out of a jarob kit for about $180   8-)

Re: CNI GB starting Updated

Any news from cni?

Re: CNI GB starting Updated

CNI says the  PGL-A and the PGL-C are only different in the case dimensions, (and cost), the A's use 2x AA battery while the C's use 2x "C " batts

Re: CNI GB starting Updated

Hey Sawt, I believe the rated 150 mW is their highest rating on pens, although it c/b over powered, I think they gave me a price for the 150 pen, I'll look...

None in my records, ...I am asking them Sawt...

Re: CNI GB starting Updated

Hey everyone interested in this GB, I want to order by about next Monday the 9th of March.  If you are planning on getting something, and the company has not given a price yet, please re-PM me.  I asked again today about the Diffraction gratings, pen laser key & safety tail cap, several other parts, IR 808 and 1064 nm 500 mW pen lasers, etc.  So, I hope this time I get most of the prices we lack.  I have asked several times for the 405 nm laser without a diode for those who want to use an elegant host pointer with a nice dot for DIY, but so far, no price was given.  :(  I'll see if they answer this time.   Some folks are getting yellow and blue pointers and especially for yellow we are still a little unsure if they will bring the cost down or the 2-5 mW output power ones are ava.  but this too we hope to know soon.  Shipping the whole package here to me, (and not including that I need to send you your order), will likely be $160- $350, so, I sure hope I don't end up upside down on this.  Ideally each pen laser s/b about $20 for total shipping (postage), larger lasers will, I estimate vary from about $25 to $60.  We are expecting to get an 7 to 13 kg package.
If you are still on the "fence"  it's getting to be time to decide.  Thanks All!  Glenn  :)
