What Laser(if any) can you commit to purchasing?

I could probably do it...I've had reasonable free time, its getting slightly busier, but not enough to impede on something like this. I don't have a working lpm atm however, so i'd have to get one to test them when they arrive. I'd have to have the members involved get me their info though.
 





No offense but I think it should be an older member... I'm not going to send 700 bucks to someone with less than a year of forum.

Man, that´s not cool after letting people waiting here.

What´s the staus on the GB? Sending funds to CNI and packaging/sending out lasers to buyers?

I would be able to help out, but as I´m in Europe, this would result in custom taxes and much higher shipping costs.
Not that I have much time, I´m in my Master degree + work 20hours/week in my job, only little time for hobbies - but it´s all about time management :beer:
 
What would be even worse is if I just went along with it to not look bad and then fucked up later down the line. I don't want to end up with something worse than not being cool on my hands simply because I couldn't swallow my pride and admit that my time is no longer as free as it once was.

The GB is currently in the following state: Ava simply needs to have the final number of each laser and then she will send the invoice and their bank information. Then they can begin making and packaging.
 
I'm new to the game, but if all that's required is a list, can a PM be sent to everyone in this thread? If so, send a PM stating we need the info ASAP. Someone needs to grab the reigns on this thing and pull it back in. This is too good a deal to lose. I have all the free time needed and I'm a responsible man, but that's not gonna cut it, I've only just joined. I do have to say WSB, Isnt there more to it than receiving a list of what lasers are wanted and then sending it to Ava? How about collecting all the money, putting it some form of escrow account, then paying Ava when the P.O. Is received. This does seem a bit monumental but this isn't the first, or last GB. Let's pull this thing together and get some great lasers at some great prices! A general PM and POST must be drawn up, sent out and posted with a deadline. People must decide what laser they want and must send in the money ASAP. It's the only way we can assure Ava what we need and also have rock solid commitments from people.
 
Steps that would need to be taken.

1. Final List sent to Ava.
2. Final Quote received from Ava.
3. Calculation of Cost/Laser including all shipping and bank xfer.
4. Collect payments.
5. If people back out, new quote needed.
6. New Calculations.
7. Money partially refunded or people send more money depending.
8. Have Ava send Wire Transfer info.
9. Have bank verify accounts.
10. Perform Wire transfer and confirm receipt of payment.
11. Wait.
12. Receive all Lasers.
13. Test all Lasers.
14. Report issues and troubleshoot. Possibly return to China some.
15. Ship out all lasers.
 
Thank you, WBS. Ok, we have some things to do...I would assume all GBs go through the same procedure. We just need someone with the time and the desire to take over. I'll do whatever I can to help. Lets not let this one pass us by, folks!
 
WBS, do you think it would be wiser to collect the monies first? This way we have commitments and there will be no backing out. All funds will be non-refundable...

Well, as I said I know the flow and can do it, but I doubt they'll let anyone who is even remotely recent steer an important project like this, good rep or not apparently.
 
Who decides? Is there a vote? You look good to me, but you say this is your first GB, that would be a concern for some. You've recently joined the Forum, that would be a concern, as well. I would think that it falls on WBS to find a replacement. Maybe he's tried, maybe he's trying, but we don't want to loose this, I don't want to loose this. It's too good a deal!

1~3 I can do that

4.) I could help do that if I was trusted enough (my paypal is verified)

5~8 I can do that

8~9 I don't know how to do that

10~13 I could do that*

*I think it would be easier if I took delivery of US shipments and someone else took delivery of the international shipments, because my handwriting for customs forms is terrible and that way you don't have to worry about double customs. I plan on getting this LPM soon so testing shouldn't be a problem.
 
I would not have any problem with ultimatekaiser or Brendan7358 doing the GB. I have seen enough posts and reps for both of these guys and feel totally comfortable sending either one of them my money. Ultimatekaiser has been on board with this GB since day 1 back in August. DB8088, you just committed to this on 10/16 and have 30 posts (18 of them on this thread) , why are you telling everyone what to do? If the GB happens it happens, if not it doesn't and we will all wait until the next one. Thats life!
