Yeah but some other guys were looking for a RGB handheld earlier, especially after seeing multimode´s basterd!

Still no answers on the difference in looks between 650/405 and 640/450 :p

Hey Bloom
I am not seeing this one on their site (PGL-III-C-532-100mW/Unit USD120.000
Also does it take 2 "C" batteries or a 18650? One more question is it rock stable? I have a few 532's and the only stable one is a cheap pen at 65mW. I know dpss but I really want a stable 100mW pointer.

They use an 18650. As far as stable, my 589 is pretty stable..for a 589. That being said, it's my only CNI laser so I'm not the one to ask about their 532's unfortunately.

I believe the are quite stable, only really becomes a problem in high outputs.

Power will be stable, yes, most likely.

Thanks Bloom
I always get that "C" mixed up. I will do some reading about their stability.

Interested in trying to get some 10mW pointers or possibly low power portables (100-200) depending on the wavelength.

No not really. However, 3 or 4 people have purchased them and they have all been very overspec. The lowest I have seen someone get was 67mW.

That'll really pleases those who've purchased from the JetLaser. Goodwill BOOST TO DA MAX!

If they were selling their 473 at 100mW and then the laser turn out to be going 130mW with its DPSS characteristics.

I JUMP IN IT!

But not at 10-30mW

100mW 473? You don't say!

Might get one to have a portable, still waiting on that 100mW 473 from Norby.

I don't expect the prices to be higher a second time around, so I feel you can rest easy on the prices.

Crazy for getting 2? If I can, I might get 3. Ha!

Hey bloomy my PLE Pro 473 was sustaining 150mW earlier. 10-30mW unit hahahaha. Check out the last page of my review on it to see a lpm video of a few moments before the sustained 150mW.

I probably should start a thread about the relative brightness of a 473nm as compared to a 589nm under the Rayleigh scattering effect,

I am a newcomer to LPF!
I am really interested in a 589nm if the price is right.
I really hope you all trust me but I understand if you dont.

If the price is right would be a bit vague , for a 589nn that has a beam that'll be comparable to that of a 532 at 100mW ,you'll need almost 1.3 times the power after taking into the account of Rayleigh scattering.

So you'll probably end up buying a 50mW +
That's gonna cost ya at round $500 .

I hope you like mode hopping

Actually $500 is my max but I could go a little more and 50mW sounds great to me!

How often does mode hopping occur on handheld lasers?

Each laser acts differently but I can talk based on my 589, it sometimes but rarely starts TEM01 ()(), give it a few seconds to warm up and then its a circle, TEM00 where it usually starts, give it a minute or so and its back to TEM01 and by then you should let it cool down.

I don't personally own one so I can't comment on how "often does mode hopping" happen for a 589 dpss.

But I CAN help with the price.
The more getting into a GB, the cheaper it gets.
Thats from the last GB.
If you got friends , and you wonder if they wanna get into lasers. This is a great time to start.

For 30mW 510nm, they're asking $900.

Thats for a 5mW organised by the OP bloomy dude.

For a 80mW , you are looking at around $585 just for the laser , not including insurance and shipping.
Organised by DJNY , great bloke .

You know... I would get a 589nm myself too , but $585 ......

But worth every penny tho if you go the penny.
