CNI GB Round 2 FEELER

It was with one of Jayrob's modules from Lazever, rated 80mW but overspec to 120.

Raffle built it into one of those oldies flashlights, not too big either.

Negative, just the laser. Though the PGL-III-C's require a single 18650, just to give you a heads up.

Also, I talked the the engineers, 30mW of 594 is possible...for $900. So it's found it's place on my to-do list, though it probably won't happen for a while.

Damn that is a lot of 594....time to see about picking up that second illicit job :p

Yeah 594 is a good color but it will be a few years before I get one.

Okay thanks.... and BTW, is there a person on here that sells 18650 batteries and chargers?

Get 18650's from fasttech.com @2 for 17 dollars. Get your charger from illumination supply, I recommend a nitecore i4.

Will the lasers in this GB come with batteries and charger?

Batteries and chargers usually come pretty cheap.
However, I recommend getting one of those Nitecore 18650 chargers and batteries.

Made in the US of A , has to be better than buying UltraFire or brandless blue covered bats that might have sat in the warehouse for 3 years .

Indeed. They're virtually the same too in theory. As cni contributes their lasers and parts to LG, but LG only takes the best ones to put up for sale, they also warrant them. I've used a few cni lasers before and they're not bad, but their shelf life is a bit shorter than the LG lasers in my experience with certain wavelengths. I love the vega, my friends physics teacher has one and its surprisingly stable for a long time for a 594 :D

I also wonder if there's a shortage of yellow modules at the moment as LG seems low on several wavelengths, with no known date on when they'll have more. (Probably because of how hard they are to make)

However, ordering from them has been quite a fuzz for me the last time.
Can't imagine how much double checking bloom has to do to order like 30-40 lasers in a GB
CNI's laser : :lasergun:
CNI's customer service :gun:

They are pretty kind hearted fellas and sheilas , keen to sort out the kinks and stuff, but man oh man , you gotta double check the invoice

As for the 589 crystal volatility and stuff ehh.... to be expected anyway from a DPSSLs

Fun fact: CNI make 589nm laser in the 50mW range at only 400-500ish. LG charges $1289

Indeed I need more money so I can order something good. Bloom does this for us for virtually nothing compared to what I'm sure his time is worth, so it's truly amazing. Hopefully I can dredge up some more $$ before the buy starts...

I think part of that is not just the rebranding and testing, but the registration with thee FDA, CDRH, and other stuff.

Hey bloom do you mind if I send you a Money Order for this next group buy instead of paypal? I don't like depositing hundreds of dollars just to get it into paypal through my bank.

Also, I emailed Ava at CNI about Beam Expanders for the PGL-III-C's. I was quoted 150 for a 10X beam expander but an extra 70 dollars for shipping+insurance. I am trying to see if they can offer reduced shipping or possibly ship it with a future GB if you don't mind and they are okay with it. I hate to pay 70 dollars to get a 150 dollar item to me though.
