Merry Xmas everybody !

The PL450 diode is actually rated at 450nm and can be pushed to 300mW. It is a nice single mode blue laser and plenty bright enough. See my sig for a 450nm build :)

If the closing date is at 14-01, I might just grab that 808nm 1W and some more.. Looking at how my budget might explode soon, I'll probably order 4-5 lasers. Will give you notice about what I'll take soon..

Offroad, would you be willing to accept an USPS International Postal M.O. instead of PayPal? I had a Paypal account a long time (years) ago, do not have one now, and I do not want to open another one.

If you are, I would like to get into this GB for the following:

One 80mW 460nM OSRAM (single mode) pointer @ $92
One 200mW 635nM Pointer @ $61

Yeah I would have just got the pl-532 but instead I'm going to try my hand at the pl-650 and pl-405. Hoping the extra money is worth the upgrade from the hl-405. Haven't seen a review for it yet.

Hey there!

It would be possible but quite a hassle. You would have to send it to me. Takes a week or so. I would have to go to my bank to put dollars on my account which costs 5€ administration costs, gas, time. Then i would have to put it on my paypal again to pay kevin..

I am not gonna do that sorry :(

Why don't you open a paypal account now? If you connect your CC of bank you will have enough time to make a payment the 14th of januari!

It sure is imho. The host is very nice, wil be more stable and have longer duty cycles.

Any news on plugs instead of dongles, and more diffraction tips, with different effects?

Tentatively this is my order;

1 x 150mW 532nm Pen.
1 x 200mW 635nm Pen.
4 x HL532nm 50mW.
1 x HL532nm 300mW.
1 x HL405nm 500mW.

Can you please also ask for pricing on the following;

HL650nm 300mW.
HL445nm 500mW and 1000mW.

Very tempted to get the 650nm 1W, but IDK if my wallet can take it :p

I sent a mail about the tailcaps a few days ago. Never heard of him since. Maybe due too christmas or my mail got in his spambox because my email was hacked. resending tomorrow!

About the two you were asking about. My gues is that discount would be 20-30%. If you want to order those models let me know i will also add those to the GB only have to ask kevin about stocks prices etc.

Definitely interested in those, depending on price...

Already this is kind of pushing it, I might need to cut back a little :p

That avatar had more lasers by far than I currently have... I sold off many :p

I use a regular bolt with a flat head as replacement for my safety dongle. It works just fine.
The key lock is my main safety feature, I don't need two of them at once.
And the laser fits better in the case without the extrusion.
Yes I know, I am lazy. :D

Quick question about the hl-808. What do you guys use one for other than "invisible" burning? Seems like a rather dangerous unit to be messing with especially without some kind of quide for where it is exactly pointing.

I'm in love with lasers for the beams... a laser that does not produce a beam is kind of anathema to me.

Than there are the safety issues... needing to invest in new goggles, and just generally being very careful with it, as it will not be as obvious if it's on or not.

I have a 700mW 808nm in the C6 host and it is no fun. I can't see any beam or dot, except for a very faint red spot.
The dot is also bar like. I don't touch this laser at all. :undecided:
