Any update about these lasers? I got a new multimeter and my first DC power supply. I tested it out on some old leds I had lying around, and am so happy. I tested a 445 diode I had, and it was awesome to understand the relation between current and voltage (didn't bring it above .3 amps because I'm still very scared and didn't want to break it.)

I can't wait to start messing around with these new diodes. I have to go back now and re-read some of the older posts on this thread and make sure I know what I'm doing with these.

Iam trying Guys. Trust me iam Trying.


Here is what the Mix up was. After i got the first 5 we did the GB. What We and my supplier thought we where getting was the same diodes i original got 5 of.

It turned out that the diodes that where sent to My supplier were Obviously the wrong ones. The slight difference between the 2 diodes was not caught by my supplier so they shipped them out to us thinking they where the same.:tsk:

Even when they received the diodes back they thought they where the same Until I showed them Pictures which here are some:

If you look very closely you can pick it up:

On the Right is the diode we should of gotten and on the left are the wrong ones. You really need to know what you are looking for unless you would miss it.

The correct diode is Boxy Not rounded. The Dies are totally different as well. Those are the 2 main things. But then there is the color of the diode the bonding wire and stuff like that that is also different and without check this stuff out closely i can see how it was over looked.

SO Right now my supplier is still waiting on there supplier to say if they can get them or not or FIND them...

Ive been with this supplier for over 1 year now so they know me.

They for sure want to make me happy i can tell you that 110%.

These are Just very hard to get. When i said they where rare i meant it. Before this They where never even heard of , so i know my supplier is trying all they can to make us happy.

I told them that we would rather have the diodes then for me to get the refund.

Iam In contact with them everyday or every other day.

I know everyone wants these diodes and iam trying. I promise iam giving it all i got to come through with them.

I'd say i will give it to the End or beginning of next month then i will ask for a refund if no one wants to wait past that.


Sorry Guys iam Trying my hardest for you all. Iam Really not trying to let you guys down on this. :(


Ill Update again soon or if i hear anything before then.

It's okay! I just was wondering what was up. I really cant wait to play around with these. I'd be willing to wait another year in order to get these.

I can wait, just keep us updated...if your supplier can get them at all or not.

Nothing New Guys.

I told them that we will probably not want to wait anymore for them as it appears these are not available easily "Which we new but we dint know that they where going to send us the wrong ones". I said we will wait till the end of the First week of next month to see if they some how get them if not they will give me the refund to then refund you all.


Also If some of you want to wait with me thats fine.

Iam going to keep my 30pcs order in just in case probably for another 3-4 weeks after. Its totally up to you. I still have a little hope and since i gave my last 2 diodes away to someone it kills me not to even have 1.:(

They Had 10 in hand and 5 where the original ones i bought.

They Confirmed they had ~700 more "But they dint know the supplier they where getting them from where Just the regular Dual Wavelength 3.8mm diodes.

Those that would like to wait a little longer OK. No Problem. When it comes to there Dead line I gave them and anyone that does not want to wait anymore can get there refund.:)

I just have a little hope and cant believe this.:wtf:
