Certified Metallic Components using Electron Beam Melting

No problem Chaos. How do you like that 638 from DTR?

I've got an M140 diode/module at home.. deciding on how I should proceed. Survival Lasers is out of their Eagle Pair glasses so I don't think I should build it until they get more in stock :yabbem:

The 405nm interest me a lot but so do the 638's. Of course they are all potentially very dangerous but do any other wavelengths have caution similar to "Blue light hazard"? I may have to buy an S06j and push it in front of the M140 build.. grr.

I'm loving the 638. The difference in brightness from the 650 is alot more than I expected. I can't wait to get an lpm, I suspect it might be over 500mW.

It does have worse beam specs than a 445nm. The best you can get with focusing is a thin line. Some don't like the bad divergence, but i kinda like it. If you defocus it out you get a wide, thin beam. Add some fog and its almost liquid sky like. I'm working on getting pics up.

As for 405nm, I love mine, and plan to build one soon. My favorite thing with this wavelength is that fluorescent and phosphorescent materials are activated by them (peanut butter fluoresces orange).
Anything GITD is supercharged!

If you do build a 405, check this out: http://laserpointerforums.com/f38/i...w-products-added-4-9-a-81185.html#post1165847

Thanks buddy, I actually recently stumbled upon that site.. looks like a lot of fun. I may just have to do both 638 and 405 :can:

Justinjja is doing a sale thread in the B/S/T section for cheap goggles that can withstand the M140 under most circumstances. You might wanna buy 2 or more (for guests or spares), while you're waiting for Eagle Pairs to come back in stock.

That way you don't have to wait :p

Lazerbreak pointed me over to this thread thank you.

I was designing this and then stopped when I found out the prices from shapeways. I was going to go for ss but titanium would be awesome. If you do have access to printing I would love to work something out with you.
