CD DiffractiSpiro!

Hey!

Well, I was bored over the weekends so I started looking around for something interesting to do.

Heres what I came up with.

I remembered that CD's reflect 8 or so dots when you shine a laser at them so I broke a CD into pieces and stuck it onto a fan using Blu-tak since I wanted the fan for another project.

When connected to a 12v power converter (ac/dc converter) and placed on a shirt or something of the sort to stop vibrations it will display circles all around your room. You can even add different colours for cooler effects

Yeah, that's actually really cool... I may use those instead of FS mirrors for the triple-motor spiro I want to do....

I bet it would make some awesome patterns if you used two motors!

But, please, tell me where you managed to acquire a laser that emits CD's :na:

I exchanged the piece of CD with a FS mirror and I got some cool tunnel effects

I even got some orange when mixing R + G on the spiro
