ok, ok, all joking aside... you cant loose weight by just diet. I lost 20pounds, and have kept it off, my brother has lost and kept off over 70. You need exercise. diet alone will just help you maintain. Anybody that says differently is not talking from personal experience. To my knowledge the only way to lose by just diet is a gasteric bypass.

This depends on your current eating habits. If you eat less calories than you burn in a regular day you physically must lose weight.
true, but if you were doing this, you wouldn't be over weight in the first place. Changing dietary habbits is like quitting smoking. if you've been eating wrong for 20 years you cant just change. that is why exercise is so important also. you will slowly adapt to the change.
